February 4, 2026
The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight: “[We will lack] Experience. We will have a lot of guys taking the field for the first time as a Varsity player and it will be their first time to all player together as well. ” – Tony Reeder, head coach
Outlook: Coach Reeder and Collinsville are no stranger to being a state title contender and this spring will be no different. As they reload following the departures of a number of important pieces from a year ago, year in and year out you can expect the Cardinals to play high-level fundamental baseball with pitching, defense, and the ability to execute offensively. As a group, expect them to grow together throughout the spring with their best baseball being played down the stretch as they continue to mesh as a team. The names on the roster will change from year to year, but do not be surprised to see Collinsville in the mix for a state title in May as they consistently improve throughout the spring.
