2026 Power 25 Countdown: No. 21 Evangelical Christian Eagles

Evangelical Christian’s baseball program finished the 2025 season going 23-13 and getting put out in the State Quarterfinals round. Going into the spring, the Eagles look to get back to the state tournament with a veteran group that returns most of their 2025 squad. 

To make their run back to Murfreesboro, it starts with the best player in the state of Tennessee in the class of 2027, Tennessee commit SS Banks Addison. In 2025, Banks broke the record for stolen bases tallying 35 on the season. At the plate, Banks is a left-handed hitter who has a rare ability to match power with speed which he showed at the Future Games in 2024 hitting multiple extra base hits and a memorable home run against Team Georgia. Defensively, Banks is a true shortstop with advanced skills well beyond his years with a cannon of arm that is 90 MPH plus from across the field. Joining Banks at the top of the lineup will be seniors Knox Aaron and Bryce Terry. 2026 OF Knox Aaron is a West Alabama commit that will return to the top of the lineup for the Eagles. Knox is a speedster who covers a lot of ground in centerfield while also being a tone setter as a true leadoff hitter. 2026 MIF Bryce Terry will return to play second base alongside Banks. Bryce is a hard nosed player that is willing to do anything to help his team win. He should return to the two hole spot in the lineup. 

On the mound, Evangelical returns two of their top arms in seniors Caiden Caldera and Bennett Edwards. 2026 RHP Caiden Caldera is a UAB commit who possesses electric stuff on the mound with a fastball that has been up to 93 MPH. Caiden should lock up that #1 spot in the rotation and be a nightmare to face on Monday nights. 2026 RHP Bennett Edwards is a Southwest Tennessee CC commit that should slot nicely in to that #2 spot in the rotation. Bennett is a tall, projectable right-handed arm that has already been up to the upper 80’s with his fastball. 

With most of the lineup returning for the Eagles and two senior aces on the mound, a return trip to Murfreesboro is likely and a deep run will be in their sights.
