2026 Central Arkansas Preseason ID: Quick Hits

On Saturday, January 31 the Prep Baseball Arkansas Staff hosted our annual Central Arkansas Preseason ID. This event consisted of 20+ players from around the state. All of our eveents offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that take place at the tail end of the summer. Today, we are taking a look at a few of the stadnouts from the day with scout notes and video below.
Position Players

Trendon Moseley OF / SS / Greenbrier, AR / 2027Moseley is the first of our position player standouts as he comes in with a smooth and level left-handed swing giving him a top exit velocity of 93.9 mph. Defensively he showcases solid glovework from the outfield with strong arm reaching 88 mph. This 2027 grad brings a lot to the table and will only continue to get better over time adding strength in the years to come. |

Cooper Maness OF / OF / Conway Christian, AR / 2028Maness is up next on our list of standouts from the Central Arkansas Preseason ID. Coming in at a solid 6'2 176 pounds, he brings a long and lean frame to the mix. Maness showcased a slight uphill swing at the plate giving him a top exit velocity of 93 mph and a max distance of 349 ft. Look for him to continue to improve his game in the coming years and be a top prospect in the 2028 graduating class. |

Braylon Henderson OF / 3B / Cabot, AR / 2028Henderson is a quick and twitchy athlete that stood out at the event. He impressed with a smooth and consistent swing from the left-side of the plate allowing him to create pop through the middle of the field. Defensively he showcased solid footwork from the outfield to go along with good arm topping out at 80 mph. This young athlete has a solid foundation to build off of with a high upside as he progresses throughout High School. |

Kaden Pranter C / 1B / Lake Hamilton, AR / 2027Pranter rounds off our position player standouts being able to do it all behind the dish. He showcased a short and explosive swing through the zone creating consistent pop. Defensively he showed solid glovework behind the plate with a strong and accurate arm getting up 76 mph, giving him the second highest velocity from the backstops in attendance. With a solid frame and foundation, Pranter brings a high upside making a top ranked player at his position in the 2027 class. |
Two-Ways

Bryce Meakin RHP / OF / Arkadelphia, AR / 2028Meakin is the first of the two-way standouts at pur event as he impressed in many different aspects of the game. On the mound, he shows a lively arm that creates easy velocity as he had the top FB velo reaching 88.4 mph with more in the tank. His arm strength doesn't stop there as he also recorded the top velocity from the outfield hitting 90 mph giving him the top spot in this category from the event. At the plate, he brings a strong and powerful swing giving him a top exit velocity of 99.3 mph, landing him atop another stat from our participants. Meakin made a huge impact, turning heads throughout every portion of the event making him a name to be on the lookout for from the 2028 grad class. |

Jaxson Shive OF / RHP / Valley View, AR / 2027Shive is a lean-twitchy athlete with the ability to showcase his skillset all over the diamond. He comes in at second on our leaderboards from the Central Arkansas Preseason ID in exit velocity as he reached 94.2 mph. Off the mound, he showcased a solid pitching arsenal with some solid mechanics that show signs of more velocity to come as he continues to build his strength in the years to come. |

Logan Clark SS / RHP / Woodlawn, AR / 2027Clark comes in with a solid frame at 6'2 184 pounds with the ability to use his size efficiently. On the mound he shows some smooth mechanics with a lot of explosiveness at landing giving him to the ability to create easy velocity. As a hitter, he presents an uphill swing giving him the ability to drive the ball in the air to all parts of the field while also reaching a top exit velocity of 93.2 mph. Defensively. he showcases quick hands and a strong arm across the diamond hitting 84 mph. Look for clark to fine tune his game as we go into the 2026 spring season. |

Aaron Mack OF / RHP / Marion, AR / 2027Mack rounds up our list of talented two-ways from the event as he is a strong and physical athlete. Off of the mound he shows flashes of being able to gain velocity over the years with a solid foundation of mechanics and arm strength. At the plate, he brings an explosive and level swing giving him a top exit velocity of 92.9 mph. From the outfield, he shows off some solid footwork and the strength of his arm reaching a top velocity of 85 mph. Look for Mack to continue to elevate his game over the next couple of years and possibly make a rise through the rankings for the 2027 class. |
Pitchers

Justin Chitwood SS / RHP / Mayflower High School, AR / 2028Chitwood is the first of two pitchers that stood out from our trip to Conway. The young athlete showcased a whippy arm action that allowed him to sit 80-82 with some ride on the fastball, paired with a low-spin change up and a depthy curveball. Chitwood has the makings to be a high level talent in the years to come. |

Hunter Shaw RHP / 3B / Concord, AR / 2026Shaw rounds out our standout players from the event as he showcased an impressive mix on the mound. He showed a high vert fastball that gives it some very deceptive velocity with a solid change-up to make it play even better at the top of the zone. This 2026 grad should be a name schools should look for to impact their club at the next level with more in the tank. |
