2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Metro Christian Patriots

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “We have a lot of starters returning with a lot of young talent. We need to get over the hump and make some noise in the state tournament. ” – Pat Foster, head coach

Outlook: Coming off a state tournament appearance a year ago, the Patriots once again have the looks of a state title contender with returners both on the mound and at the plate. Further, they return youth that gained valuable experience a season ago and appear primed to next another step in 2026. Offensively, they will be led by experience at the top of the order with Luke Huff coming off a big year in 2025. In a highly competitive 3A, they will boast one of the more physical offenses that have plenty of extra base hit potential littered throughout the lineup. On the mound, they return strike throwers that have shown the ability to attack opposing hitters and offer pitchability. Metro Christian will be an exciting follow in 2026 as they look to take the next step and make a state title run.
