Tyler Baranick / C / 2027 / Northville

An uncommitted member of the 2027 class who’s looking for big things this coming spring for Northville - Baranick who showed well in Ypsilanti with improved arm strength with some carry on his ball down to second base in catcher evaluations. Baranick looks to take on a prominent role for the Mustangs as they compete in the always difficult KLAA.

Leo Capaldi / C / 2028 / Rochester Adams

Capaldi is looking forward to an exciting spring as he looks to earn time behind the dish for a deep Rochester Adams squad. Capaldi showed consistent footwork and transfer behind the plate with accurate throws on the bag in his workout while showing some rhythm in his swing throughout the BP round. Uses a simplistic approach with not much effort throughout. A 2028 looking for big things in the 2026 season.

Ethan Cunningham / 1B / 2027 / Bedford

Tradition proud Bedford continues to produce quality ballplayers - and Cunningham is certainly making a name for himself. Cunningham has made adjustments to the swing topping 106 off the bat in his BP round - is seen with increased rhythm and a quiet lower half in his swing.

Drew Hess / 3B/RHP / 2027 / Grosse Pointe South

The Blue Devil product from Grosse Pointe South HS has been hard at work prior to the spring season - displayed a short swing path in BP round with a number of line drives into the pull side alley using a double toe tap and keeping things simple in his swing. Hess worked mainly out of the stretch in his bullpen with a mid 80s fastball and a 11/5 shaped breaking ball - look for Hess to play a pivotal role for GPS.

Jax Ichesco / SS/OF / 2028 / Chelsea

Ichescho has continued to make good strides this offseason after an appearance at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games in Columbus, Ohio last August. He has added visible muscle and strength from August while posting PRs in arm velocity from infield and outfield. We saw a number of well struck balls in his BP round. Look for Jax to make an impact for the Chelsea Bulldogs not just at the plate but on the bases as opposing catchers will have to account for his speed. Coach Taylor & Co. should be excited about the dual-sport athlete.

Zac Kruper / OF / 2028 / Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay product who is coming off a reputable performance at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games in Columbus, OH. Don’t be fooled by the size of Kruper - he packs a punch both defensively and with the stick. Continues to have consistent rounds and production at the plate while being a reliable defender in the outfield. Having already had an impressive Freshman campaign - Kruper will look to add to his HS track record come March . . . certainly a name to keep track of as we head into the heat of the spring and summer.

Bryce Marszalek / OF / 2027 / Milford

One of the biggest winners from the event out of Milford HS - Marszalek put on an impressive show in batting practice with numerous hard struck balls and showed off the arm as he was up to 90 from the outfield evaluation. Smooth footwork and clean transfer. Features a well rounded frame with looseness in his swing with present rhythm. Marszalek is poised for a big spring for the Mavericks and Coach Mocerino as they look to take another step competing for a conference championship in spring 2026.

Preston Paoletti / SS/RHP / 2027 / Chelsea

Paoletti is another standout who also hails from Chelsea High. Had one of the better BP rounds on the day with plenty of line drives to the middle part of the field using a larger leg kick to generate some power. Showed clean footwork on the infield with clean and smooth exchange with soft hands in the glove. Was able to get down the mound smoothly with a L 3/4  arm slot and fairly athletic delivery & was able to spin the breaking ball at 2300-2400 rpms. Improved change up with some fading action into RHH.

Mason Piazza / 3B / 2028 / Saline

Piazza has continued to refine some of his offerings this offseason and is making noticeable improvements at the plate. A solid round of BP with a minimal load with scattered line drives in BP with much loud contact - Piazza looks primed to play a key role for Saline this spring in the middle of the order driving in runs for the Hornets. A 2028 graduate programs will want to put on their lists to see.

Jack Plachta / LHP / 2028 / Orchard Lake St. Mary's

Platcha is another 2028 who was in attendance coming off a stint at the MWSSG in Ohio last August - Plachta has continued to finetune his delivery on the mound and made some small increases into his fastball velocity on the mound up to 85. Breaking ball continues to have a 2/7 shape - Plachta will look to earn valuable innings this spring for talent heavy Eaglet team.
