NOTABLE RECAPS FROM THURSDAY

Pueblo South (CO) (4) vs. #15 Skyridge (7)

The Skyridge Falcons utilized a lights-out relief performance and a perfect day at the plate from Ripken Roberts to secure a 7–4 victory over the Pueblo South Colts. After an early back-and-forth struggle, Skyridge found its rhythm behind Roberts, who went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, while Brady Lowe and Tate Young provided additional punch, including a timely triple from Young. On the mound, the Falcons turned the game over to Nathan Whitehead, who delivered a masterful 4.2 innings of scoreless relief to stifle the Colts' offense and earn the win. Pueblo South remained competitive through the middle frames thanks to a multi-hit effort from MJ Molina and a resilient complete-game effort from Caeden Herrera, but they were ultimately unable to overcome the Falcons' aggressive baserunning and Whitehead’s efficiency. Skyridge’s ability to transition into defensive dominance in the later innings ensured they maintained control and walked away with the hard-earned win.

Top Performers

#10 Riverton (12) vs. Reno (NV) (4)

The Riverton Silverwolves unleashed a relentless offensive barrage to overpower the Reno Huskies in a decisive 12–4 victory. Riverton's lineup was firing on all cylinders, spearheaded by a clinical three-hit performance from Bryce Mounteer and a standout display from Ryder Sand, who also tallied three hits including a clutch double. The Silverwolves capitalized on constant pressure, with Coleman Garn and Rocky Downs providing the necessary punch to drive in five combined runs, including a deep triple from Downs. On the mound, Nolan Pezely earned the win after a solid start, handing the ball to Boston Hatch, who delivered four masterful innings of scoreless relief to completely silence the Reno bats in the final frames. Despite a flash of power from Reno's Wilson Thomton, who launched a three-run home run, the Huskies were unable to keep pace with Riverton's balanced attack and disciplined plate appearances, ensuring the Silverwolves maintained control throughout the contest.

Top Performers

#7 Corner Canyon (6) vs. #24 Layton (12)

The Layton Lancers showcased an explosive offensive display to overwhelm Corner Canyon in a convincing 12–6 victory defined by long balls and a barrage of extra-base hits. The Lancers’ lineup was firing on all cylinders, spearheaded by Jowell Dasni, who cleared the fence with a three-run home run and reached base four times to keep the scoreboard moving. Will Hoffman was equally relentless at the plate, tallying a game-high three hits including a sharp double, while Zane Morgan and Bridger Mascaro both delivered multi-RBI performances to fuel the double-digit surge. On the mound, Andres Cedeno provided a strong start, navigating through nearly five innings to keep the Chargers at bay before handing the ball over to Austin Pritchett, who provided a scoreless relief appearance to shut the door. Corner Canyon found some life through the bats of Jack Munson and Lincoln Eure, who combined for four hits and two RBIs, but they were unable to match the sustained power of a Layton squad that capitalized on every scoring opportunity to secure the dominant home win.

Top Performers

#13 Timpanogos (9) vs. #18 Salem Hills (5)

The Timpanogos Timberwolves leveraged explosive extra-base power and a dominant performance on the mound to secure a convincing 9–5 victory over Salem Hills. The afternoon was headlined by Cooper Hawkes, who was nearly impossible to contain, launching two triples and driving in four runs in a standout three-hit effort. Timpanogos' offense established control early, supported by Canyon Clegg, who drove in three runs, and Crew Peterson, who crossed the plate twice to keep the pressure on the Skyhawks' defense. On the bump, Ryder Smith set a high bar by striking out seven batters over three effective innings to earn the win, while Jace Spencer provided four stellar innings of scoreless relief to neutralize any late-game comeback attempt. Salem Hills found signs of life through a double from Guss Johnson and steady situational hitting from Trig Richards, but they were ultimately unable to match the sustained offensive output of a Timpanogos squad that tallied 12 hits to close out the win.

Top Performers

Mountain Crest (3) vs. #19 Provo (4)

The Provo Bulldogs found a way to navigate a tight contest, edging out the Mountain Crest Mustangs in a focused 4–3 victory. This was a game defined by situational efficiency, as the Bulldogs overcame four defensive errors by remaining active on the base paths and getting timely relief work from Gehrig Orchard. Orchard proved to be the difference-maker, driving in a run at the plate before taking over on the mound for the final 2.2 innings to earn the win without surrendering an earned run.

Mountain Crest stayed within striking distance throughout the afternoon, highlighted by a triple and an RBI from Jackson Pearce and a double from Ethan Nielsen. Ethan Christensen provided a strong foundation for the Mustangs, pitching deep into the sixth inning and keeping Provo’s hitters off-balance. However, the Bulldogs’ speed proved difficult to contain, as Ty Nielsen swiped two bags and crossed the plate during a crucial scoring sequence. Despite the Mustangs out-slugging Provo in the extra-base hit department, the Bulldogs' ability to work counts and capitalize on late-game opportunities allowed them to secure the hard-fought home win.
