March 10, 2026
The East Coast Invitational Tournament featured top teams and talent from across the state, with Prep Baseball on-site for the action.
Hosted by Waccamaw High School, this eight-team tournament showcased high-level competition.
Below are notes and videos highlighting standout performances from each team.

Daniel Schenk, 1B/RHP, Fort Dorchester, 2027
Big and physical frame at 6-5 210 pounds. Starts in an upright stance and slightly opened but gets into his back hip well with some torque and has a low leg lift. Keeps the hands high at ear level. Physical swing that produces elite bat speed. Showed the ability to hit to all fields. Power present pull-side. Great middle of the order stick. Got the start in Game 1 of the ECIT Thurs night and settled in nicely. FB was 80-83 throughout and showed ability to locate offspeed. The lower half opens up to 1B side at foot strike. Room for velo jump with the big frame.

Shows good path to this ball as he demolishes it over the LF wall for a 3 run 💣 to give his team a 9-0 lead early. #PalmettoPower#ECIT2026 #PBSCisThere pic.twitter.com/FtZcVd03Py

Andrew Mundy, RHP/1B, North Myrtle Beach, 2028
Strong physical kid who gets downhill well. FB has life to it and gets on RHH fast. FB was 86-88 T89 and stayed there the entire outing. Fills the zone often with all his pitches. Establishes the ability to spin the SL in any count. CH has some sinking action to it and freezes hitters. Mechanics repeat well, but worked at a slower tempo. Should hit 90 soon and will be a great young arm to keep tabs on. #3 player in the ‘28 class.

Filling the zone up early. Great feel for all three pitches. Good command for SL/CH to LHH. Big frame kid that repeats mechanics well.
