2026 KSHSAA Team Preview: Fort Scott Tigers

Prep Baseball Kansas Staff

The Kansas high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 19, opening day for regular season action under KSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Kansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “We will have 4 very good arms who are good enough to be dominant and at the very least give us an opportunity to win every game. Behind those arms we will play good defense and it will be hard to score runs on us. My only concern is depth. We have good young players who are untested, and we will need them to come into their own this year throughout the course of the season. Another question mark is offensive production. We will need to play team offensive baseball, get on base and move runners, and score runners with productive outs and clutch hits. The heart of our order will need to produce and we have to learn to be 9 tough outs all through our lineup.” – Josh Regan, head coach
