Jason Pintar SS / Spanish Fork, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 3
We got our first look at Pintar in a Prep Baseball event, and he did not disappoint. The Sophomore is coming off of a breakout campaign in 2025, playing a crucial role for the Dons in their run to an eventual 5A State Title. In his 103 PA at the Varsity level, he hit .307 with 23 H and 12 RBI and played a lock down SS defensively. Although the numbers don’t jump off the page, the combination of that experience and his physical maturation in the last 12 months have set him up for a monster season in 2026 and beyond. Now standing at 6’3 178 lbs, he has cemented himself as a top player in the ‘28 class and into the Top 10. The offensive skills and power upside have increased and are ready to make a significant impact, and along with the elite arm talent and quality hands/feet, we are looking at a high level prospect. Power 5 programs.. Circle this name as one to follow closely this Spring and Summer.

Cody McLean SS / Spanish Fork, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 9
Another intriguing Sophomore in the Spanish Fork program that we got our first look at in a Prep Baseball event, Cody flashed legit two-way upside with an athletic frame and live arm talent. The 6’2 177 lb RHP/SS was impressive throughout the workout and appears to have the foundation for a high level prospect in the near future. He saw significant time at the Varsity level for the 5A state champs, getting 72 PA and a couple appearances on the mound. The physicality has noticeably improved since the end of last season, and after his performance on Saturday we could easily see an expanded role for Cody this Spring on an absolutely loaded group in 2026. Very intriguing day for the Sophomore Don and one we eagerly look forward to following more closely.

Levi Hines C / SS / Corner Canyon, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 4
Levi continues to showcase elite athleticism each opportunity we get to see him play or workout. If you play QB at Corner Canyon HS in recent years, you have to be a high end athlete with a plus arm and he fits that mold to a T. The 6’1 178 lb Sophomore has a rare set of skills that most players of any age do not possess, and that’s his ability to play all 9 positions on the field and be competent at all of them. His foundation defensively comes from behind the plate and the arm talent plays well from the mound as well. The hands, feet and IQ are what allow the versatility to play anywhere on the field, and when you add in the switch-hitting capabilities, we’re talking about a high end prospect. We expect a breakout Spring season for Levi and he has to be a name coaches circle as a must follow in 2026. Highlights: Max EV (89.9) 60 Time (6.96) INF velo (87) Pop Range (1.88-1.94) Catcher velo (79) |

Tavake Wolfgramm C / OF / Pleasant Grove, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 2
One of the themes of the Utah Class of 2028, especially at the top, is supreme athletes with an emphasis on the dudes behind the plate. Throughout the past year, our staff has identified a number of athletic catchers with mature skills, and one of those standouts is Tavake Wolfgramm out of Pleasant Grove. The two-sport Sophomore (football runningback) has made significant gains in the last 12 months, most notably to his overall physicality and defensive maturation featuring elite arm talent and excellent feet. Now standing at 5’11 157 lbs, the quick twitch ability and sneaky explosiveness offensively, make Vake one of the more exciting young prospects in the class. Advanced LH swing with smooth actions and intent to do damage will serve him at the Varsity level this year, likely hitting near the top of a stacked lineup and handling one of the top pitching staffs in the entire state. Power 5 College coaches should be circling this name as an absolute must follow in 2026.

Kash Sissener RHP / OF / Snow Canyon, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 1
One of the most impressive overall performances and standout players from the event of 150 of Utah’s most talented athletes, was from Kash Sissener. The recent Snow Canyon transfer moved from small town Parowan, and will be joining one of the premier programs in the state to play for Coach Secrist. This year’s Warrior team is loaded with veteran talent and future college players, and Kash will get his chance to contribute at some point considering the skills and talent are too impressive not to, especially from the mound. The 6’4 181 lb Sophomore right-hander flashed legit arm talent on Saturday during the defensive workout and the bullpen, running the FB up to 89.7 and 88 across the diamond. For his size, the speed and agility really set him apart after leading the entire event in the 60 dash as well. Power 5 coaches can feel confident adding Kash’s name to their must follow list for the ‘28 class moving forward.

Austin Brown OF / 1B / Wasatch, UT / 2028Austin has been one of the premier hitters in the Class for the last two years, and attended the Futures Games in ‘24 as a 14 year old where he showcased an elite offensive game from the left side. Last year was a breakout season for the Sophomore OF, leading the Varsity group in PA (124) and posting some of the best numbers in state regardless of age (.440 AVG/48 H/31 RBI/13 XBH/4 HR). He came in Saturday, first player to show up and one of the last to leave, at 6’2 222 lbs and an imposing physical presence in the box. The ability to stay short to the ball with a flat, direct path and compress the baseball at impact with consistent extension makes him a scary hitter to face. The added strength will make him an even tougher out now, because he could just mishit the ball, or be out front and still leave the yard at any time. Game changing type offensive player with a monster season coming in 2026, and a name that has to be on every coaches list of top players in the class to follow this Spring.

Abel Velador C / 3B / Alta, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 41 / POS: 12
Abel got the chance to attend the All State event on Saturday after a year away from Prep Baseball showcases. The added growth and maturation were notable, growing 3 inches and putting on 20 lbs since last January, which made a considerable impact on his overall game. All of his offensive metrics improved, taking the power numbers to another level (Max EV 88 -> 96.7 / Avg EV 84.3 -> 92.1). From behind the plate he shows advanced skills as a quiet receiver with a plus catch and throw tool, featuring quick feet and exchange times. The velocity has taken a significant uptick going from 66 to 73, giving the accurate throws extra carry to the bag. Intriguing day from the Sophomore that should play a key role for a strong Alta group this Spring.

Luke Robley SS / RHP / Skyridge, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 13
Luke had a strong workout on Saturday, posting new personal bests in every category and flashing some real upside as a high level prospect despite the current lack of pure physicality. The 5’8 147 lb Sophomore showcased sneaky strength and pop at the plate from the left side, driving balls from line to line and consistently arriving on time. Mature approach with a repeatable, smooth swing that stays inside the ball very well and stays on plane through extension. Defensively, he can really pick it and has quick feet that move through the ball and produce carry on throws across the diamond. Very intriguing workout from Luke that will make him an exciting follow this Spring, and if he can continue to grow and put on weight while remaining quick, watch out. Should get a chance to compete for Varsity time this year on a strong Skyridge squad. Highlights: Max EV (96.3) Avg EV (86.4) Max Dist (356’) INF velo (82) 60 Time (7.17) |

Carson Fackrell OF / 1B / Cedar City, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 48 / POS: 8
Carson was relatively unknown to the new staff prior to this event, but he has posted strong workouts at Prep Baseball events in the past, earning him an invitation to the All State this past weekend. He made the absolute most out of the opportunity and really impressed with his present physicality and offensive, raw power. The BP round was one of the best we saw from any player who attended, and he posted a top 3 Max EV at 103.6. Consistent, loud contact and deep drives to the middle/pullside part of the field with multiple leaving the park. His primary position was the OF at this event, but with his physicality at 6’5 219 lbs and continuous growth may force him to move to 1B long term. Exciting day from the Sophomore out of Cedar City and will be one to keep a close eye on in 2026. Highlights: Max EV (103.6) Max Dist (380’) 60 Time (7.33) OF Velo (75) Bat Speed (78.7)

Kingston McCloud C / RHP / Maple Mountain, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 28 / POS: 7
Kingston has really made a name for himself in the past few months after being identified at our Maple Mountain Scout Day last Fall, and coming highly recommended as a player to watch by his coach, Jeremy Thomas. The athletic frame and raw ability are present, with the arm talent being the stand out tool. From the OF he posted the top velocity on the weekend at 92, and the ease in which he seemingly operates is impressive. Whether he is behind the plate or on the mound, the ball explodes out of his hand and produces elite backspin that carries extremely well. This gives him the ability to beat hitters at the top of the zone with the FB, and also consistently put throws on target to 2B and home from the OF. Kingston has become one of the more exciting prospects in the class that continues to move up the board, and could develop into one of the top arm talents in the state. Highlights: Max FB (90) Catcher Velo (84) Pop Range (1.87-1.96) 60 Time (6.95) Max EV (97.8) OF Velo (92)

Tobin Degelbeck SS / OF / Pleasant Grove, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 10
We got our first look as a new staff at Tobin this past weekend, and he came highly recommended by Coach Henry as a player we needed to follow closely. The 6’2 177 lb Sophomore put together a strong overall performance, solidifying himself as a two-way talent with high upside in the ‘28 Class. His BP round featured consistent, loud contact with deep drives around the park, and showed a real sense of timing and awareness with the barrel in the zone. Smooth swing from the right side with repeat ability and a mature approach. The arm talent stands out and could be his best tool with the highest projectable qualities, even though Saturday was not his “best” day from a velocity standpoint. We have seen him in the upper 80s from the mound in-game, with a confident mound presence and quality pitch mix. Very exciting day for Tobin and one that earned him a must follow for our staff moving forward.

Boston Hatch LHP / OF / Riverton, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 1
Boston has been one of the most exciting two-way prospects in the class for over a year now, and had it not been for an injury to his non throwing shoulder last Spring, could have had a huge last 12 months. Fortunately, he is in with great programs that have helped him recover and build back to this point where he looks healthy, and ready for a breakout Sophomore campaign. The 6’5 left-hander features one of the best arms in the class, oozing with project ability and a sky high ceiling. Smooth, repeatable delivery with a fluid ¾ arm action that produces some of the highest horizontal movement on the FB/CH combo that you’re going to find anywhere. He is still ramping up from not throwing all Summer and a portion of Fall, so the velocity worked in the low 80s T85 but we project that to be in the mid-upper 80s by late Spring or early Summer. Boston is a solidified high end talent that warrants his name being on every Power 5 coaches radar moving forward.

Jett Pratt OF / RHP / Deseret Peak, UT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 4
Jett has been a consistent participant in Prep Baseball events the last few years, and continues to showcase his love and passion for the game by steadily improving each time we see him. It is clear that he has been investing quality time into his body and craft, with the physicality taking a noticeable uptick and resulting in the power elements of his game to improve as well. He posted new personal bests in every offensive category, while also increasing his sweet spot %, so he is not just swinging harder to produce more power but has also remained consistent with the contact. The arm strength continues to trend upward and that we expect to be in the upper 80s by Summer’s end. You would be hard pressed to find many players out there with a higher work rate in the offseasons and down time than Jett Pratt. Given his consistency month over month of steady progression, we fully expect a breakout Sophomore campaign for his new school, and first year program, Deseret Peak.
