Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '27 LHP Chase Austin (Beaverton).

Chase Austin OF / LHP / Beaverton, OR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 7 / POS: 1 The Beaverton junior pitched phenominally to win POTW for week 4 of Oregon High School action. Austin threw 6 innings on the mound without allowing a hit or a walk, striking out 13 batters overall. The versatile athlete was most recently seen at the Corvallis Preseason ID last winter before securing his commitment to Oregon State University.
