FL Hitter/Pitcher of the Week: Week 9

The 2026 high school baseball season has officially kicked off, bringing with it a wave of standout performances across the state. Each week, coaches will nominate exceptional athletes for Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, from which we’ll select the top four candidates in each category for a public vote via a Twitter (X) poll. Fans will have the power to crown the weekly winners, while those nominees who don’t make the final cut will still receive recognition in our Weekly Diamond Notes article, published every Wednesday.

Hitter of the Week: Week 9

Eli Feld OF / 1B / Mount Dora Christian Academy, FL / 2026Mount Dora Christian senior and Polk State recruit Eli Feld delivered a flawless week at the plate to secure Hitter of the Week honors. The 2026 outfielder was impossible to get out, going 6-for-6 on the week while constantly circling the bases for six runs scored. When he wasn't setting the table, he was doing massive damage, racking up four RBIs behind a barrage of extra-base hits. Four of his six at-bats resulted in extra bases, as he laced two doubles and launched two home runs. Week 9 Stats: 6-6, 4 RBI, 2 HR, 2 2B, 6 R |

Amil Ayoub LHP / Samuel W. Wolfson High School, FL / 2026Wolfson senior and FSCJ recruit Amil Ayoub delivered an overpowering performance on the mound this past week, earning Pitcher of the Week honors. Ayoub took the ball and fired 6.2 shutout innings, holding the opposition to zero hits and zero runs during his time on the hill. While he did issue four walks, his ability to miss bats was impressive as he recorded an astounding 17 strikeouts. Week 9 Stats: 6.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 17 K |
