ALABAMA — The 2026 Alabama high school baseball season continues to take shape as teams move deeper into their schedules and results across the state provide added clarity within each classification. With more games now in the books, early trends are beginning to emerge as programs build consistency and establish position against a mix of competition.

This past week featured another full slate of action, including area play and key non-area matchups. Several teams continued to strengthen their résumés with quality wins, while others were tested against demanding schedules that have already led to movement throughout the polls. As the season progresses, the margin for error remains tight across multiple classifications.

With that in mind, we present the updated Class 7A-1A Top 10 rankings. Below you’ll find the latest polls for each classification, along with teams on the bubble and weekly notes highlighting key results and notable developments from around the state.

  • Cullman makes the biggest jump in this week’s poll after sweeping Jasper in area play and earning a quality win over Mountain Brook.
  • Mountain Brook drops slightly after defeating Pell City and losing to Cullman despite maintaining a strong overall résumé.
  • Homewood splits its series with Gardendale and adds a win over Shades Valley.
  • Saraland continues steady play with an area sweep over Theodore.
  • Hazel Green drops after losses to Lincoln County (TN) and Etowah.
  • Hartselle strengthens its position with a three-game sweep of Decatur and a win over Buckhorn.
  • Pike Road records an area sweep over Park Crossing while also splitting with Pell City and dropping a contest to St. James.
  • Mortimer Jordan enters the Top 10 following a sweep of Clay-Chalkville and one of the top overall records in the state.

  • Moody secures a series victory over Jacksonville in area play.
  • Andalusia records a win over Dothan but drops a contest to Geneva, setting up a key area championship matchup with Charles Henderson.
  • UMS-Wright Prep completes an area sweep over Elberta to remain in the Top 10.

  • Ranburne drops one spot following losses to an out-of-state opponent and Reeltown.
  • Pike Liberal Arts earns wins over Zion Chapel and Geneva but drops a contest to Headland.
  • Tuscaloosa Academy completes an area sweep over Isabella but falls to Bibb County in non-area play.
  • North Sand Mountain picks up two non-area wins over DAR.
  • Pleasant Valley secures an area sweep over Cedar Bluff to remain in the Top 10.
