NOTABLE RECAPS FROM THURSDAY

#17 Salem Hills (7) vs. #12 Skyridge (13)

The Skyridge Falcons exploded for 14 hits to outslug the Salem Hills Skyhawks in a high-scoring 13–7 victory. Ripken Roberts anchored the effort as a true dual-threat, tallying two hits and two stolen bases at the plate while gritting through five innings on the mound to earn the win. The Falcons' lineup displayed impressive depth, receiving multi-hit performances from Luke Robley, Boston Sundberg, Brady Buttars, Bo Larsen, and Miles Robinson to keep the bases moving throughout the afternoon. Salem Hills mounted several rallies, sparked by a three-RBI double from Kash Wallin and a perfect 2-for-2 day from Austin Hicks, but three defensive errors and a heavy early deficit proved too much to overcome. Once Roberts exited the mound, Murphy Dunn provided two scoreless innings of relief to stabilize the final frames and secure the convincing win for Skyridge at the stunning America First Ballpark.

Top Performers

Gunnison Valley (6) vs. Delta (7)

The Delta Rabbits managed to secure a narrow 7–6 victory over the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs in an unusual contest where the winners were out-hit 9 to 3. Delta showcased an incredibly efficient approach, manufacturing seven runs despite their limited hit total by taking advantage of defensive miscues and showing discipline at the plate. Cooper Smith led the charge for the Rabbits, driving in two runs and gritting through five innings on the mound to earn the win. The Bulldogs’ starter, Braxton Pickett, turned in a truly rare performance; he threw four innings of no-hit ball with eight strikeouts, yet surrendered five runs (all unearned) due to walks and a string of Gunnison errors. Although the Bulldogs mounted a late comeback fueled by multi-hit days from Pickett and Waylon Sorenson, Dayson Meinhardt stepped in to provide two innings of focused relief, preserving the lead and handing the Rabbits another hard-fought win to bring them to (14-2).

#14 Pleasant Grove (11) vs. #22 Wasatch (4)

The Pleasant Grove Vikings showcased their resilience and a high-powered middle of the order to overwhelm the Wasatch Wasps in an 11–4 victory. While Wasatch struck first with a two-run opening frame, the Vikings’ patient approach at the plate eventually paid dividends, as they drew a staggering 11 walks to keep constant pressure on the basepaths. Mason Henry provided the definitive highlight of the afternoon, launching a towering home run and a double to finish with four RBIs. Tavake Wolfgramm was equally clinical, driving in four runs of his own, including a clutch bases-clearing double that helped break the game open in the later innings. On the mound, Ryder Huntsman settled in beautifully after a rocky start to toss five focused innings, while Crew Anderson provided a perfect two-inning bridge to the finish, surrendering zero hits to silence the Wasps' offense and secure the statement road win.
