Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '26 Coppin Hunkapillar (Southridge).

Coppin Hunkapillar RHP / 3B / Southridge, WA / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 157 / POS: 44 The Southridge product and Whitworth commit put together a dominant set of games last week, going 2-4 with 2 home runs. Hunkapillar also tallied 4 runs, 6 RBI and a walk as a part of his impressive week. The senior is one piece of a very talented Southridge lineup off to a hot start in 2026.
