DRAFT HQ

College Crosscheck - Week 5: Director of College Scouting David Seifert made two stops during the fifth week of the NCAA Division I season, first in Illinois for Northwestern and Southern California (USC) then to Kentucky as the Wildcats hosted Alabama. NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

14 RBIs, four home runs and 15 strikeouts on the bump sends the third National Player of the Week honors to RHP/C Kaden Longman (2026, Newcastle HS, OK, Hutchinson JC commit). With a 94 mph fastball, the senior helped his team to an undefeated week. More>>

 


NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS

On Monday, March 16, the second edition of Prep Baseball’s Top-50 National High School Rankings was updated as more schools started their spring season. Preseason ID: Before the 2026 spring season, the Preseason ID event kicks off as an identifier event for scouts and college recruiters to start their list of prospects to follow. Prospects have also shown some of their best performances in the event being at their freshest after rest and targeted off-season training, resulting in big gains, updating their Prep Baseball profile.

ICYMI - The ‘Hotlist’: Entering March and the spring, winter preseason events across the country are beginning to wrap up. Rewind to the first three weeks of Preseason ID leaderboards of ‘The Winter Pulse’: Week One / Weeks Two&Three.

Rising Stars ID: Geared towards the 13U and 14U prospects in the classes of 2030 and 2031, the Rising Stars ID serves as an introductory event to Prep Baseball. A starting point for any player with aspirations to play at the next level, the Rising Stars is an educational experience that guides a prospect through the process of a showcase.

The event takes players through the basic skills testing with a more hands-on approach from scouting directors and staff to help create the baseline for prospects to improve upon in their careers. It will also introduce them to the data aspects behind the technology that sets Prep Baseball and its evaluation apart. The Rising Stars ID will also act as an identifier for future events such as the Junior Future Games at LakePoint Sports and provide an early preview into players who may end up on Prep Baseball rankings.
