Class 7A-1A Top-10 Polls: Week 4 Edition

ALABAMA — The 2026 Alabama high school baseball season continues to take shape as teams move deeper into their schedules and results across the state provide added clarity within each classification. With more games now in the books, early trends are beginning to emerge as programs build consistency and establish position against a mix of competition.
This past week featured another full slate of action, including area play, spring break competition, and key non-area matchups. Several teams continued to strengthen their résumés with quality wins, while others were tested against demanding schedules that have already led to movement throughout the polls. As the season progresses, the margin for error remains tight across multiple classifications.
With that in mind, we present the updated Class 7A-1A Top 10 rankings. Below you’ll find the latest polls for each classification, along with teams on the bubble and weekly notes highlighting key results and notable developments from around the state.

Weekly Notes & Updates:
- Enterprise moves into the top spot after a 4-1 week, owning one of the best records in the state. The Wildcats earned notable 8-5 wins over Faith Academy and St. Paul’s Episcopal, with their only loss coming in a 10-9 game against Fairhope.
- Tuscaloosa County went a perfect 4-0 while competing in a spring break tournament, picking up wins over Greenbrier, Oklahoma Christian Academy, Randolph, and Chandler.
- Thompson finished 3-1 on the week, earning wins over Pell City (14-6, 11-1) before splitting a doubleheader with Auburn, winning 13-4 and losing 10-3.
- Hewitt-Trussville went 2-2, earning wins over Prattville and The Webb School while dropping games to Mountain Brook (8-1) and American Christian (3-0).
- Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa posted a strong 4-0 week at the beach, defeating Buckhorn (10-6), Robertsdale (8-6), and two out-of-state opponents.
- Hoover slides in this update after a 1-4 week. The Buccaneers’ lone win came against Marist (12-6), while losses came in close games against Homewood, Opelika (twice), and Auburn.
- Vestavia Hills went 2-3 while facing out-of-state competition during the week.
- Auburn makes their way back in the top-10 after a 4-1 week. The Tigers beat Hoover, Stanhope Elmore, Marist, and split with Thompson in a doubleheader.
- Oak Mountain finished 3-2 with wins over Pelham, Westbrook Christian, and The Altamont School. The Eagles’ losses came against Spain Park and Demopolis.
- Prattville enters the Top 10 after a 3-2 week, earning wins over Park Crossing, Smiths Station, and Briarwood Christian. Their losses came to Wetumpka and Hewitt-Trussville.

- Northridge continues its dominant run, going 6-0 on the week. The Jaguars picked up wins over out-of-state competition before returning home to defeat then-No. 1 Hazel Green (13-1) and Bob Jones (14-2).
- Hazel Green remains one of the top teams in the state after a 5-1 week. The Trojans went 4-0 at the beach and added a 3-1 win over Bob Jones, with their only loss coming against Northridge.
- Homewood went 4-0, highlighted by a 4-0 win over Hoover. The Patriots also swept Parker and defeated John Carroll Catholic.
- Mountain Brook posted a 3-0 week, sweeping Woodlawn in area play before earning an 8-1 win over Hewitt-Trussville.
- Spain Park went undefeated at 3-0 with decisive wins over Oak Mountain (13-3), John Carroll Catholic (13-0), and Calera (11-1).
- Hartselle finished 2-1 with wins over Grissom (5-3) and Central-Florence (11-2). Their lone loss came in a close 9-8 game against Cullman.
- Saraland moves up after a 2-0 week, defeating Mary G. Montgomery (11-0) and Alma Bryant (5-4).
- Cullman enters the poll on a six-game winning streak, highlighted by a 9-8 win over Hartselle and a doubleheader sweep of Southside.
- Fort Payne makes its debut after a three-game sweep of previously unbeaten Gadsden City.
- Wetumpka also enters the poll after a 2-0 week, earning wins over 7A-ranked Prattville and Beauregard.

- Faith Academy remains at the top after a 1-1 week. The Rams defeated Mary G. Montgomery 12-6 before falling in an extra-inning game to No. 1 Enterprise, 8-5.
- American Christian continues to stack quality wins, going 5-1 on the week. The Patriots earned victories over Hewitt-Trussville, Central, Wenonah, Bibb County, Science Hill, and Calera, with their only loss coming against Oxford.
- Northside stays hot with a strong week, defeating Grissom (8-1), Decatur (11-1), and adding wins over a pair of out-of-state opponents.
- St. Paul’s Episcopal finished 2-1, picking up wins over Gardendale (12-1) and Orange Beach (7-0). Their lone loss came against top-ranked Enterprise.
- Demopolis posted a perfect 3-0 week with wins over Oak Mountain (7-5), The Altamont School (14-9), and Thomasville (12-2).
- Briarwood Christian went 2-1, earning wins over Helena and Chelsea while dropping a close game to 7A Prattville.
- UMS-Wright Prep went 4-0, sweeping a pair of area opponents in convincing fashion.
- Moody finished 2-0 with wins over Central Clay County (5-1) and North Sand Mountain (16-2).
- Shelby County went undefeated, earning wins over Carver (14-2), East Limestone (2-1), and Red Bay (8-6).
- Madison Academy continues to trend upward, going 4-1 with a win over Fairhope and a 3-1 record against out-of-state competition.

- Madison County continues to strengthen its résumé with a perfect 6-0 week, picking up wins over out-of-state opponents along with victories over Decatur (7-2) and DAR in a Saturday doubleheader.
- Westbrook Christian split its games, defeating Arab 14-0 while falling to Oak Mountain 10-4.
- Bibb County went 2-2 with wins over Marbury and Calera, while its losses came against American Christian and Science Hill.
- Montgomery Catholic moves up a spot after a 1-1 week, earning an 8-0 win over Andalusia before falling to Lee-Scott Academy.
- Opp went 2-0 on the week with a pair of wins over New Brockton.
- St. Michael Catholic drops after a 1-3 week, defeating Citronelle but falling in close contests to Robertsdale, Bayshore Christian, and Father Ryan.
- Brooks enters the Top 10 after a 3-0 week with wins over Fairview and a doubleheader sweep of West Limestone, after also taking two of three from Central-Florence in a key area series last week.
- Central-Florence went 1-3, splitting with Hardin County and dropping games to Grissom and Hartselle.
- Satsuma debuts in the Top 10 after a 2-1 week, earning wins over Cottage Hill Christian and St. Luke’s Episcopal while scoring double-digit runs in both victories, with their lone loss coming against 6A Baldwin County.

- Hubbertville slides after a 1-3 week, earning a win over Addison (13-11) while falling to Winfield, Lamar County, and Lynn in a pair of close contests.
- Addison drops a few spots after a 2-2 week, defeating Decatur Heritage Christian (5-4) and Hackleburg (15-2) while losing close games to Lynn and Hubbertville.
- Brantley went a perfect 3-0 with wins over Kinston (13-8) and Red Level (6-3, 16-5).
