Overall Summary

Kamiakin enters the 2026 season as the second ranked team in our PS Power 25 after a remarkable 23-2 finish last spring. Though the Braves graduate many players, they maintain a big three of D-1 arms at the top of the rotation. Senior RHP and Gonzaga commit Zach Vega earned MCC Pitcher of the Year last season, in addition to taking home Prep Baseball's First Team All-State. The righty is a workhorse in terms of eating innings while delivering a low 90's fastball to overpower opponents. Fellow senior RHP and Washington State commit Taron Carlson has seen steady gains as another power arm and should be leaned upon heavily on both sides of the baseball. Carlson can stick as an up the middle infielder with quickness and fill the stat sheet offensively at any time. Junior RHP Tanner Davis rounds out the trio, picking up a commitment to the University of Washington at the end of 2025. Davis attended Prep Baseball's Future Games in Georgia last summer, where he showcased explosive athleticism and quickness to go alongside two-way ability. Davis will also slot near the top of the lineup and play a plus shortstop when not on the mound. Apart from the big three, Kamiakin will be leaning on players with limited varsity experience. Senior Crew Miller saw time in the lineup off an on last spring, but will bring a veteran maturity to the catcher position. Junior Christian Bower should see a much larger role offensively as well. Kamiakin's schedule is highlighted by games against Kennewick, Richland and University in 2026. Expect the Braves to once again be among the best teams in the state this spring.
