FROM WEDNESDAY (2.18.26)

+ GULFPORT VS. BAY

Gulfport rolled to a 13-2 win over the Tigers on Wednesday at MGCCC, pulling away after a big middle innings surge. After the game was tied early, the Admirals took control with a five-run fifth inning and never looked back. Surowiec earned the win on the mound, striking out eight over six innings. Gulfport finished with 12 hits, led by Hignight’s three-hit performance and three RBIs each from Plummer and Hebert, and now prepares to host East Central on Friday.

+ WEST BOLIVAR VS. LELAND

Leland took a 5-3 win over West Bolivar on Wednesday, using an early offensive surge to build a lead it never relinquished. After West Bolivar opened the scoring, Leland responded with three runs in the first and added two more in the second. The game featured aggressive base running from both sides, with a combined 25 stolen bases. Leland’s pitching and clean defense helped hold off West Bolivar down the stretch as the teams prepare to meet again Friday.

+ LEFLORE COUNTY VS. O'BANNON

O’Bannon rolled to a 15-3 win over Leflore County on Wednesday, powered by a huge performance from Castion, who drove in six runs. He delivered the decisive blow with an inside-the-park grand slam during a seven-run fifth inning and added an RBI double later. The Greenwaves used patience at the plate to their advantage, drawing 14 walks and stealing 22 bases, while also pulling away with consistent pressure throughout the game. O’Bannon now turns its attention to a matchup with Riverside on Thursday.
