Overall Summary

Prep Baseball is extremely high on the potential of Curtis heading into the 2026 season. The Vikings return nearly all of their pitching, headlined at the top by RHP Cooper Hordyk. The junior returns after an incredible 2025 spring, logging a 1.70 ERA across 53 innings of work. Senior LHP and Lower Columbia commit Bradley Dinelt offers a different look from the left side and can induce swing and miss, striking out 50 batters in 33 IP last season. Other contributors on the mound returning include Jonathan Garcia, Aidan Neideigh and Erik George. Offensively, the offense is anchored by talented senior catcher Joe Giles. The Lower Columbia commit impressed mightily over multiple in-game looks last spring and provides some pop from the left side of the plate. Senior and Biola commit Riley Angelo provides another top of the order presence with experience in the infield. A pair of juniors provide big time power potential in the middle of the order in Micah Houston and Harlan Carrillo. Houston was one of the breakout showcase performers last summer and carries tremendous upside, should everything click. Curtis may also lean upon talented underclassman at the varsity level. Sam Patterson has already seen some varsity run as a freshman last spring, while C/INF Craig Sale can make an immediate impact as the third ranked freshman in the state. Curtis will face some tough competition all spring long in the SPSL, and their schedule is highlighted by matchups with Sumner, Gig Harbor and Puyallup. Expect the Vikings to make another step forward and be a true 4A contender this year.
