Blythewood 4 West Florence 2
Blythewood secured a 4–2 victory over West Florence on Tuesday in a tightly contested, pitching-dominated game early on that eventually opened up into a late-inning slugfest. Pitching set the tone early, as starters Johnny Collins and Avery Weaver combined for 13 innings of two-run ball, keeping both lineups in check. After falling behind late in the bottom of the sixth, Blythewood ignited a two-out rally to push the game into extra innings. Johnny Collins 2026 Blythewood RHP
The College of Charleston signee delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, tossing 6 innings of one-run ball while racking up 7 strikeouts. This was an outing that showcased exactly why he’s a Division I commit. He commanded all three pitches throughout, attacking early with a high-80s fastball up in the zone, mixing in a high 70s changeup effectively in any situation, and finishing hitters with a tight, low-to-mid 70s curveball that generated consistent swing-and-miss. He looked every bit the staff ace, Blythewood will be tough to beat whenever Collins takes the mound.

Collins has a traditional windup with a tall and fall delivery. He has had great feel for his 3 pitch mix and has 6 Ks after 1 time through the order! pic.twitter.com/mktqr0hwCG
