Prattville (6) vs. Homewood (2)
Prattville defeated Homewood 6-2 in a Top-25 showdown on Tuesday, responding quickly after an early deficit to take control of the game. Homewood struck first in the opening inning on an RBI double from George Brockwell, but Prattville answered with three runs in the bottom half behind RBI hits from Adam Kramer and Layton Lawrence along with a run-scoring fielder’s choice from Sean Smith. The Lions continued to apply pressure offensively, finishing with 12 hits in the contest. Aiden Bradley led the way from the leadoff spot with three hits, while Lawrence drove in two runs and Christian Alexander, Dorsett Jackson, and Kramer each added multiple hits. Paxton Genola earned the win in relief, tossing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa (7) vs. Northside (3)
Hillcrest rallied past Northside in another Power 25 showdown for a 7-3 win on Tuesday after overcoming an early two-run deficit. Northside plated a pair in the first inning, but Hillcrest responded in the second with three runs to take the lead, highlighted by an RBI single from Seth Hardin. The Patriots maintained control the rest of the way, adding insurance and finishing with nine hits in the contest. Peyton Rackard paced the offense with three hits, while Brooks Fowlkes and CJ England each drove in two runs. On the mound, Wyatt Garner turned in a strong start, allowing two runs over six innings while striking out nine to earn the win.
Glenwood (2) vs. Hueytown (1)
Glenwood earned a 2-1 walk-off win over Hueytown on Tuesday, with Cal Lawrence delivering the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. In a tightly contested pitching matchup, Glenwood struck first in the opening inning on a groundout before Hueytown evened the game in the fifth on a run-scoring groundout. The game remained tied until the eighth, when Glenwood came through with the decisive run. Rhett English set the tone for the Gators with five innings of one-run ball, while Asher Long added three scoreless innings in relief. Carter Judah led the offense with two hits, and Lawrence drove in the winning run.
