2026 Prep Baseball Dakotas Preseason ID-North Dakota: Quick Hits

WEST FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA - The Preseason ID-North Dakota event took place March 7th, 2026. The event was held at the Rustad Recreational Center. The event featured over 75 prospects from the class of 2026 through 2029 and many standout performances from the players in attendance. We again want to thank the players, parents, coaches and the Rustad Recreational Center staff for such a great event.
There were a number of great individual performances this year at the Preseason ID-North Dakota event.

Caden Nelson RHP / 3B / Fargo South, ND / 2027The Fargo fireballer took big steps sinces his future games experience in 2025. Nelson sat 94 with his fastball, and showed impressive command of all pitches. Caden added a cutter to his arsenal that averaged 87. The Texas A&M commit tossed one of the best bullpens our staff has seen in recent memory.

Jaxon Omdahl RHP / SS / Park River Area, ND / 2028In his Prep Baseball showcase, Jaxon Omdahl turned some heads with his ability on the mound. Holding a 6-0, 170lb frame, the Sophomore showed controlled movements on the mound with a twitchy arm. The fastball lived at 85-87, spinning a curveball and changeup in the low 80s. Name to follow out of northeast North Dakota. |

Jack Pelham SS / RHP / Shiloh Christian, ND / 2028Another sophomore, this time from out west, Pelham showed improvements from a year ago. On the mound, Jack averaged 83.3 on his fastball, with a low 70s CB and SL. Pelham displayed athleticism in his defensive work and at the plate. Name to watch in the coming years. |

Kylan Pulkrabek OF / RHP / West Fargo Sheyenne High School, ND / 2027Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 4
Pulkrabek showcased yet again why he is one of the top uncommitted prospects out of the 2027 class. Ripping off quick run times and athleticism throughout all aspects of our showcase. Will be an impact player for the defending Class A North Dakota Champions in Sheyenne.

Henry Schrum C / 3B / South High School, ND / 2028South's Schrum impressed us already last summer, and continued his progression this offseason. The sophomore catcher ripped off consistent sub 2.00 second pop times with increased arm strength. Henry showed clear increases in athleticism and strength, and will be an exciting name to watch this summer.

Steven Solano RHP / OF / Rapid City Central, SD / 2029Rankings OverallRank: 187 / POS: 37
An exciting freshman out of Rapid City, Solano didn't disappoint on the mound. The right hander sat in the upper 80s, touching a 90.6 max fastball. Even at the dish Solano posted upper 90s exit velos with relatively raw mechanics. With time, it is going to be extremely exciting to watch his development.

Cameron Stahl RHP / OF / Horace, ND / 2028Another standout prospect out of a recently loaded Horace program, Stahl made clear jumps since his last showing in front of our staff. Stahl average his max fastball from last year (88 MPH) while topping out at 90. Stahl ripped off a slider with a big sweeper profile (-12.9 HZ, 2.7 IVB) at 79 MPH. Clear improvements to frame, with added muscle size.

Brenner Weber C / 3B / Jamestown High School, ND / 2027A big winner with his ability behind the plate was Weber out of Jamestown. Brenner showed off his bazooka of an arm behing the dish, with an 82 MPH throw (2.01 pop). Weber has some developing to do at the plate, nonetheless, he will be a follow out of central ND this year, and a backstop to know for college coaches in the region.
