Overall Summary

Fewer teams return a greater wealth of talent than Bainbridge in 2026, as they look to repeat as 2A state champions. The Spartans are anchored by their big three arms in the rotation, headlined by a pair of D-1 commits at the top. Two-way phenom INF/RHP and Utah Valley commit McCrea Curfman earned league MVP honors a season ago, and is a dominant upper-80's arm on the mound alongside being an on-base machine. Curfman enters his senior spring as a legit POTY contender. Senior RHP and Oregon commit Trey Thompson is a high-upside low-90's arm that got better as the season went on last spring. Fellow senior righty Braden French was another key arm last spring, eating innings and offering a different look. The lineup is more than formidable, particularly at the 2A level. Senior 1B and Utah Valley commit Will Rohrbacher may boast the biggest power of any player in Washington and can change a game at any moment. Senior Chemeketa CC commit AJ Larsen is an athletic outfielder who can set a tone near the top of the lineup. A trio of talented sophomores can all make an impact offensively as well. INF Dominic D'Amico is a power bat that can spray it gap to gap and should see a larger role this spring. Henry Olsen and Skyler Nghiem could also break out after quality looks at recent showcase events. The Spartans have intriguing matchups against Peninsula, Jackson and North Kitsap to highlight their spring schedule. Expect Bainbridge to once again be competing for a 2A state title by the end of the 2026 season.
