We continue our spring high school previews and projections with a look at 15 "Picks to Click" as we inch closer to the 2026 baseball season. Highlighted in these stories are players that we believe are in contention for "Player of the Year" or "Pitcher of the Year" and we will give a detailed analysis, including video on each. Without further ado, the next player we would like to highlight is University of Virginia commit Pierce Quinn from John Carroll.

There’s no question that the University of Virginia commit is a favorite to win “Pitcher of the Year” across Maryland this spring, and a standout performance at this year’s Super 60 has Quinn on track for a huge senior campaign with John Carroll.

Featuring one of the state’s best fastball/curveball mix, Quinn rides the fastball with some late life into the mid 90s, showcasing the ability to challenge hitters in the zone and miss bats. The curveball is the difference-maker, spinning it north of 3,000 rpm with late downward tilt, and when it’s in the zone, it’s one of the more unhittable pitches this state has to offer. If the strike percentage stays consistent, and Quinn is able to hold velo throughout the spring, this is a can’t miss arm to watch all spring long.
