On Sunday February 1, 2026 our staff saw nearly 60 players from across VA/DC at the first winter event of the year. We hosted two events at Airpark Kids Zone in Ashland, VA, the RVA Freshman Free Showcase and the RVA Preseason ID. Today we begin to take a look at a few players that stood out in a few areas. Our superlatives list cover two different sets of players, pitchers and positional players. In total we look at eight categories for players, Fastball, Secondary Mix, Pitcher Projection, Raw Power, Run Tool, Athleticism, Hit Tool, and Defense. We have selected the players from each event that stood out in those respective categories. This story focuses specifically on Positional Players from the RVA Freshmen Free event.
