2026 Tulsa Summer ID: Quick Hits

On Tuesday, June 16th, the Prep Baseball Oklahoma staff traveled to the campus of the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK to host the annual Tulsa Summer ID. This event was open for 2027-2030 class members, and featured 20+ players from across the state.
All of our events offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that takes place at the tail end of the summer. Shortly after the event, our staff compiled several of the day’s stat leaders inside our traditional ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE.
Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts below within these ‘Quick Hits’.
RHP/MIF Canan Sims (Cameron, 2028) put together a high-level performance across the board, showing off multiple quality tools as a two-way prospect. On the mound, the right-hander flashed a low 80s fastball with nice ride, at an average IVB of 20 inches, while spinning it at upwards of 2500 rpm. The rising junior also displayed nice arm strength in the infield, tossing it across the diamond at 86 mph.
OF/RHP Grant Murray (2028, Owasso) displayed all the talent that has him in prime position to play an increased role for Owasso next spring, stacking good numbers throughout the event. Murray has a great combination of strength and athleticism, running a 6.81 in the 60-yard dash while firing 90 mph bullets from the outfield. On the mound he attacks hitters from a deceptive over-the-top arm slot, utilizing a three pitch mix with a low-mid 80s fastball as well as a curveball and changeup as his offspeed offerings.
RHP/MIF Lance Bellmard (2027, NOAH) is an athletic switch-hitter who showed off some nice tools throughout the day. The rising senior produced exit velocities in the 90s and had solid swings from both sides of the plate. After putting down a 6.76 60 time, Bellmard displayed good arm strength in the infield, being gunned at up to 83 mph. The right-hander sat in the low 80s on the bump, with a sharp slider as his best offering in his three-pitch arsenal.
RHP/MIF Joah Jeffries (2027, Chisholm) is a solid two-way prospect who showed out with a nice performance on Tuesday. Jeffries put together nice power numbers in BP, producing exit velocities north of 96 mph and a max distance of 332 feet. He also showed some nice speed, sneaking in just under seven seconds in the 60 yard dash with a 6.99. On the mound, Jeffries sat in the low 80s with the fastball, while flashing a nice curveball and showing a really nice feel for the changeup.
RHP/MIF Ian Lane (2028, Verdigris) put together an excellent all-around performance, with some of the best numbers of the day across the board. The right-hander is clean on the mound, living in the low 80s with a fastball that has really good life to it. The slider is his best offspeed offering, and he displayed a nice feel for the pitch with the ability to both land it in the zone and snap it off as a swing and miss pitch. Lane put together a nice round of BP as well, with EV's in the low 90s.
MIF/RHP Lane Sexton (2027, Carl Albert) put on a solid two-way performance in Tulsa with good numbers across the board. Defensively, the rising senior was clean in the infield and was gunned at 83 mph across the diamond. Sexton delivered some of the top exit velocities of the day, topping out with a max EV of 94.2 mph and a max distance of 348 feet. On the mound he utilizes a three-pitch mix that includes a fastball with some nice ride, as well as a changeup and flashes of a wipeout slider.
MIF Hunter Bertram (2027, North Rock Creek) delivered an excellent performance, showing off a blend of strength and athleticism that put himself amongst the event leaders in multiple statistical categories. He opened the day with one of the group's top 60 times, clocking a 6.81 and reaching a top speed just a tick over 20 mph. Bertram also put together a nice round of BP, consistently finding the barrel to the tune of an average EV of 89.3 mph and a max EV of 94.4 mph.
MIF Evan Jameson (2028, Claremore) showcased a well-rounded toolset, putting up solid numbers across the board in this one. He opened the day with a 6.90 60-yard dash before showcasing some clean actions in the infield, slinging it across the diamond at up to 81 mph. At the plate, the rising junior produced exit velocities reaching into the 90s, and should only see the power output continue to improve as he adds some more strength to his frame.
OF Hudson Skender (2027, Asher) had a nice all-around performance, but shined most as the plate where the left-handed hitter put up the second best EV of the event at 94.4 mph. The Asher product was consistently on the barrel during his round of BP, showcasing some power potential to the pullside throughout the day. Defensively Skender was gunned at up to 80 mph from the outfield, and with a 7.09 60 time, has the requisite athleticsm to track down balls in the gap.
OF/1B Bryson Ackart (2028, Broken Arrow) is a versatile athlete, showcasing the ability to give a team solid defense both at first base and in the outfield where he was gunned at 83 mph. At the plate, Ackart produced exit velocities north of 92 mph, with an average EV sitting at 85.9 mph. At 6'3 196 lbs, Ackart has a projectable frame and should continue to see jumps in his already solid metrics as he continues to add strength.
OF/RHP Carver Crowson (2027, Dale) delivered a nice two-way performance, with the arm strength standing out as a high-level tool as he was gunned at 88 mph slinging it from the outfield. On the mound, Crowson utilized a four-pitch mix with a low 80s fastball that he works off of with a slider/curveball combo as well as a changeup.
RHP/OF Sam Peters (2027, Collinsville) was consistently on the barrel throughout his round of BP, showcasing a middle of the field approach with exit velocities into the upper 80s. Defensively he showed some nice arm strength in the outfield, tossing it in at 80 mph. On the mound, the rising senior's fastball topped out in the lower 80s with some arm side movement. The rest of the arsenal features a curveball that flashes some nice depth, as well as a changeup that sits at 72-73 mph.
MIF/RHP Miles Guenther (2029, Navajo) was the lone 2029 prospect in the group, but delivered one of the better performances of the day. Guenther showcased some nice arm strength defensively, tossing across the infield at 78 mph, and the arm strength translated well to the bullpen where he looks to have nice upside as he fills out his frame. He utilized five different pitches, spinning each of them well including a fastball that reached spin rates north of 2300 rpm. The slider and curveball profile as the best offspeed offerings, while the arsenal also featured a changeup with lots of arm side movement and a cutter that he proved comfortable landing in the zone.
