Overall Summary

Ridgeview enters 2026 as an intriguing follow and one of our highest ranked 5A sides in the Preseason Power 25. The Ravens return arms that were productive for them last spring, headlined by two-way talent Ryden Nakamura. The senior and Iowa Western CC commit was called to pitch in big moments last year and can provide a middle of the order presence in a corner OF spot as well. Junior arm Finn Chambers also returns as a mainstay from last year, providing a quality arm and a middle of the order bat as well. Dylan Hertel saw some action on the mound last spring and may be asked to throw more in his junior season. Offensively, the Ravens are headlined at the top of the lineup with junior middle infielder and Future Games alum Diego Lopez, an on-base machine with plus defensive skill. Senior Aiden Scott is another key returner who may be asked to do more offensively. Ridgeview's ability to separate themselves may be rooted in how much they can get from their talented underclass group. Sophomore Bennett Wyatt saw time at first base and has high upside as the third ranked 2028 grad in the state. Ryker Combs and Kingston Lopez are other sophomores who could contribute, while freshman Rayden Becker also has a high ceiling as the 5th ranked 2029 grad in Oregon. The Ravens have tough matchups against South Salem and Summit to highlight their 2026 schedule. Expect Ridgeview to once again be among the best 5A sides in the state this spring.
