HITTER OF THE WEEK

Cooper Goff OF / Mountain Ridge, UT / 2027

Cooper put on a clinical power display this week, serving as the undisputed engine for a Mountain Ridge offense that swept a high-stakes region series against Herriman. Goff was nearly impossible to keep in the yard, launching three home runs and driving in seven runs over the three-game stretch. His dominance was headlined by a monster performance in the series finale, where he blasted two home runs and accounted for five RBIs to secure the sweep. Finishing the week with a .500 average and a staggering 1.945 OPS, Goff’s blend of elite power and high-level production continues to solidify his status as one of the most dangerous middle-of-the-order threats in the state.

Highlights: 3 GP / 10 AB / 5 H / 3 HR / 7 RBI / 6 R / .500 AVG / 1.945 OPS

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Jonathon McGuire RHP / OF / Dixie, UT / 2027

Jonny McGuire turned in a masterful performance on the mound this week, anchoring the Dixie Flyers in a gritty 2-1 victory over a strong Pleasant Grove team. The right-hander was absolutely dominant throughout his 7.0-inning complete game, surrendering just three hits while consistently working ahead in the count. McGuire’s command was on full display as he racked up 10 strikeouts, effectively silencing a potent Vikings lineup and refusing to allow a single earned run. It was a true "ace" outing that showcased his poise and ability to thrive in high-leverage situations, providing the Flyers with the shutdown performance needed to secure a marquee win. Jonny remains uncommitted at the next level and is making a strong case for consideration as one of the top uncommitted arms remaining in the 2027 class.

Highlights: 7.0 IP / 10 K / 0 ER / 3 H / (W)
