Jesuit vs Folsom

Hank LoForte, NorCal Scouting Director

'26 RHP/INF Sammy Kane, Jesuit High School, Oregon Signee

Kane had himself quite the day at the plate and on the mound for the Marauders. With three years of prior varsity experience, Kane is heading to the University of Oregon this Fall, looking to get a Section Championship ring to close out his last year. Kane wasted no time in getting ahead of hitters, he kept his pitch count low, and kept the tempo at his pace. He’s got a very repeatable motion, with a natural ¾ arm slot, his fastball has a ton of arm side run. Kane’s fastball was sitting between 90-93 mph the whole game T94, the SL was between 74-76 mph with sharp/late bite, and his changeup was around 80 mph. The three pitch mix was in full effect, and he threw 47 strikes, out of his 62 pitches. Kane went six innings, two hits, one walk, and no runs for his final line on the day. At the plate, he went 1-3 with a run and a walk, Kane pieced a ball past the shortstop on his hit, and worked a quality at bat later in the game. Excited to see where the Marauders will end up with Kane taking the charge.
