Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we'll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team's box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they're able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. No. 4 Brother Rice fell to a stacked Bishop Verot squad 12-4 at the Bishop Gorman Invitational. Texas A&M commit Brady Cunnigham (2027) led the offense going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, double and a run scored. Luca Agne (2027) added a single and an RBI, while Louisville commit Colin Campbell (2027) added a run with a sac fly. RHP Rocco Galasso (2027) supplied 2.2 innings out of the 'pen with no earned runs, striking out three.

DePaul College Prep 11 Shady Side Academy 1
DePaul College Prep took down Shady Side Academy 11-1 behind a strong showing on both sides of the ball. Keaton Murphy (2027) fired three shutout innings with three strikeouts. Noah Liss (2026) added two innings with one earned run to notch the win, while Nick Kelly fired a scoreless frame with a strikeout. Wisconsin-Whitewater commit Quinn Roberts (2026) led the offense going 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Aydin Abbasi and Luke Flom (2026) each added two hits apiece with an RBI and a run scored.

Mahomet-Seymour 15 Lakeside Christian 0
Mahomet-Seymour's offense powered over Lakeside Christian to take the game 15-0. Pierce Douglas (2027) led the team going 2-for-2 with a home run, five RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Logan Wade (2027) added a triple with an RBI and a run scored — while Nolan Franz (2027) doubled while also driving in one with two runs scored. Matthew Kirby (2027) and Cole Henderson (2027) each added two RBIs. Kyle Popovich (2027) twirled three shutout innings with seven strikeouts, while Dyllin Thomas added a scoreless inning, striking out three.
Mars 8 Mahomet-Seymour 2
Mahomet-Seymour took their second game of the day 8-2 behind Nic Brauer (2027), who notched the win after firing four innings with one earned run and four strikeouts. Aiden Banister (2027) added two clean innings with no runs and two strikeouts in relief. Pierce Douglas (2027) helped power the offense with a triple, RBI and a run scored — while Noah Franz (2027) added a single and an RBI.
