Centennial 6, Durango 3
Centennial (#5) utilized a dominant opening frame and stellar starting pitching to secure a 6-3 victory over Durango on Wednesday. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and added insurance runs in the third and fifth to maintain control throughout the contest. Elijah Wilcut was nearly untouchable on the mound, tossing five innings of one-hit baseball to earn the win.
Durango mounted a late-inning threat, plating three runs in the top of the seventh, but the early deficit proved too large to overcome. The Trailblazers' offense was led by Jackson Trantham, who finished with two hits, while Kysyn Kauahipaula provided a strong relief effort with five innings of one-earned-run ball. Centennial’s Marco Perez and Jake Turner anchored the Bulldog attack, combining for four RBIs and two doubles to preserve Centennial's momentum.
