Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#17 Magruder Colonels

Magruder made a run in 2025, eventually falling in the 3A State Quarterfinals, and an experienced roster returning on both sides of the ball bodes well for what should be a highly successful 2026 campaign. The Colonels return their top arms on the bump and a plethora of impact bats throughout the lineup, making for this to be one of the more balanced rosters that MoCo has to offer. Consistency will be key if Magruder wants to make a deeper run in 2026, and this roster certainly possesses the talent and experience to do just that.
