Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#16 Saint Michaels Saints 

Coach Femi's teams have always been fundamentally sound, and the return of a plethora of impact players on both sides of the ball bodes well for another deep run in 1A in 2026. A heartbreaking loss in the state final a year ago, look for these upperclassmen to be highly motivated to get over the hump this spring. On the pitching side of things, this is one of the more exciting rotations to keep eyes on that includes experience and top-end talent, even with the loss of one of the state's most reliable arms in Will Sherwood to graduation. Offensively, look for this offense to produce in all facets with a strong core returning in the middle of the order. One of the more storied programs across the state, our staff has every expectation to see the Saints make another deep run in 2026.
