Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

# 20 Linganore Lancers   

Look for a much better 2026 campaign for the Lancers, as a disappointing 2025 should be well in the rear-view mirror. Returning basically the entire roster on both sides of the ball (while adding a few), Linganore has the pitching talent on the front-end, and the power bats throughout the lineup to compete in the CMC this spring. As long as their "three-headed monster" on the bump can pitch up to the hype, and this lineup consistently hits like it can, look for Linganore to make some noise through a very tough 3A West region. 

Key Players to Watch
