Kasey Carman / RHP/OF / 2027 / Climax-Scotts

Carman had a solid day at the Elite Scout Day, coming from Climax-Scotts, and looks to have a breakout junior season. An up tempo pace on the mound with a quicker arm and clean down the mound, Carman reached up to 84 on the mound and peaked 96 off the bat. A name to note seeing this spring.

Connor DeVito / RHP / 2027 / Byron Center

One of the top arms at the event - DeVito ran  the fastball up to 86 with a clean delivery down the mound, gets into the back side with a tilt / topple finish. Above average arm speed, flashed some feel to spin the slider with sweeping action. DeVito will look to earn valuable innings for Byron Center this coming spring season.

Nick Dow / C / 2027 / Hudsonville

Dow has added visible strength from the last time our staff saw him - he has increased in all areas most notably behind the plate with good receiving skills and improved arm strength. Dow will look to earn an opportunity to manage a talented Eagle pitching staff this spring at Hudsonville.

Ben Fausey / INF / 2026 / Forest Hills Eastern

Fausey has made notable strides from the summer - was able to find consistent barrels in his BP round with a short swing path and increased bat speed. Fausey is looking to cap off his HS career with another magical run towards East Lansing after being a staple in the the Hawks lineup last spring

Drew Ferrick / SS/OF / 2027 / Forest Hills Eastern

Another Hawk who was in attendance from FHE - features an athletic profile with a strengthier bat. Ferrick uses a small leg kick on lower half, was able to barrel multiple balls in his BP round - will look to play a key role for Forest Hills Eastern once again this coming spring.

Jackson McNew / C / 2027 / Caledonia

McNew has earned a good reputation for a hard nosed player with a strong arsenal behind the dish with a strong arm and quick footwork & problem for teams who like to run on the bases. The bat has been steady each time we’ve seen him and we expect McNew to be a name coaches will want to see in West Michigan this spring.

Brady Schutter / 1B/OF / 2028 / Hudsonville

Schutter had a solid round of BP getting up 98 off the bat. Schutter features a slightly open stance with some bat speed and produced some line drives to the pull side of the field. Schutter is another exciting 2028 from Hudsonville to follow as we ramp up towards the spring season.

Keaton Van Kampen / RHP/3B / 2027 / Byron Center

A top uncommitted player still left on the board from West Michigan continued to show our staff he’s making gains from summer to beginning of HS ball. Improved arm strength, up to 92 across infield, and improved hands - Van Kampen still is an issue for many hitters as he looks to lead a talented Bulldog staff this spring for Coach Mackenzie.
