QUICK HITS

+ C/3B Hayes Sanders (2030) is a rising young prospect out of Magnolia Heights who already shows an impressive blend of strength and versatility as a catcher and third baseman. The muscular 5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitter has some current pop for his age, running exit velocities up to 89 mph while working with a line-drive approach that leans pull side. He shows the ability to drive the baseball with authority and projects for more power as he continues to mature physically. Defensively, Sanders has a strong foundation behind the plate and in the infield, showing solid actions and developing feel at both spots. He’s recorded catcher velocities up to 70 mph with pop times in the 2.00–2.07 range, demonstrating promising arm strength and transfer. With his physical build, offensive upside, and defensive versatility, Sanders is a solid young player on the rise and one to keep tabs on as he continues to develop.

+ C/3B Triston Harper (2030) is a young catcher/third baseman out of DeSoto Central Middle School with a projectable frame and developing skill set. The lean 5-foot-10, 145-pound righty/righty prospect continues to make strides behind the plate, where he’s posted pop times in the 2.07–2.15 range and shows a strengthening arm with improving mechanics and transfer. He’s gaining comfort as a receiver and has the tools to continue progressing defensively as he adds strength. Offensively, Harper flashes current pop with a pull-heavy approach and natural loft in the swing, showing the ability to elevate the baseball and drive it with authority for his age. As his body continues to mature and his skill set develops, Harper is a young player with clear upside and one to follow moving forward.

+ OF/INF/RHP Drake Watson (2030) is a highly projectable multi-positional prospect out of Lafayette who showed as much upside as anyone at the event. The 6-foot, 145-pound athlete has a lean, athletic frame with plenty of room to add strength and impact. Solid set up at the plate with developing pop as well. Line drive approach with ability to use all fields. Defensively, he showed arm strength across multiple spots, running it up to 80 mph from the infield and 83 mph from the outfield, highlighting his versatility. On the mound, Watson worked up to 78 mph with a solid, repeatable delivery and feel for his mechanics. He also ran well, posting an event-best 7.00 in the 60-yard dash, further showcasing his athleticism. With his size, tools, and multi-position ability, Watson is a high-upside 2030 prospect worth following closely as his progression continues.

+ SS/RHP Bryson Turner (2030) is a strong young SS/RHP out of Mantachie Attendance Center with a sturdy 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame and noticeable offensive upside. The right-handed hitter showed pull-side pop with some natural loft in the swing, recording the top exit velocity of the event at 91 mph and demonstrating the ability to drive the baseball with authority. Defensively, Turner shows a strong arm that plays well on the infield, and he also impressed on the mound, working up to 78 mph while already showing a good feel for his breaking ball. With his strength, power potential, and two-way ability, Turner is a 2030 prospect trending in the right direction.

+ RHP/OF Anderson Houston (2030) is a promising young right-hander out of Oxford with a lean, wiry 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame and plenty of projection. He features a long, loose arm action and a very easy, fairly polished delivery that suggests more velocity is on the way. Houston worked up to 79 mph with his fastball and showed the ability to repeat his mechanics while attacking the zone. He’s also developing a secondary arsenal, including a changeup where he already shows the ability to kill spin and create separation. With his arm action, delivery, and projectable frame, Houston is definitely an arm to keep tabs on moving forward.

+ MI Kyzer Roberson (2030) is a developing middle infielder out of Magnolia Heights with a lean 5-foot-9, 144-pound frame and plenty of room to add strength. The left-handed hitter shows a middle-to-pull side line-drive approach, working through the baseball with feel for the barrel and projecting for more pop as his body matures. He also showed decent speed, running a 7.32 in the 60-yard dash. Defensively, Roberson presents a solid fundamental look on the infield with developing arm strength, recording throws up to 77 mph from shortstop. With his left-handed bat, athleticism, and defensive foundation, he’s a 2030 prospect trending upward.
