Week of 4/6

Preston Pahang RHP / OF / Ocean City, NJ / 2028

Pahang burst onto the Prep Baseball scene this preseason after making his Prep Baseball debut at the Preseason All-State Session 2. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound right-handed pitcher showcased an elite fastball topping at 93 mph and a top tier slider that was spun up to 2,809 rpm. Pahang had an explosive arsenal while maintaining repeatable and under control mechanics, mature presence on the mound. His entire arsenal consisted of a fastball that sat 92-93 mph with over 2,500 rpm of spin, a 82-84 mph slider that averaged 2,788 rpm of spin, and a changeup at 87-88 mph. Name to circle for the future in the Northeast.

 

 

 

Nick McCabe OF / LHP / Moorestown, NJ / 2028

McCabe is an intriguing two-way prospect that is a game changer with the bat and on the mound. He has a lean 6-foot, 188-pound frame that possesses a lot of room for growth in the future. The left-handed hitter has a fluid swing that covers the entire zone with a natural upward attack angle. He produced a max exit velocity of 98.2 mph with an 83 percent sweet-spot percentage. From the outfield he showed off is elite arm strength with a 91 mph max outfield velocity. On the mound, his fastball has been recorded at 82-83 topping 84 mph. McCabe also showcased a changeup at 74-77 mph and a cutter at 76-77 mph. The two-way prospect also ran a 6.88 sixty-yard dash with a peak spring speed of 20.4 mph. Keep an eye on this South Jersey product.

 

 

Jaden Freeze OF / RHP / South Western SHS, NJ / 2028

Freeze made his Prep Baseball debut this preseason and made a lasting impression on the Prep Baseball Pennsylvania staff. He is a physical athlete at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds that ran the sixty-yard dash at a blazing 6.54 seconds. After his impressive sixty, he then put together a mature round of BP where he drove the ball to all fields while producing a 97 mph exit velocity and 355 ft peak distance. Defensively, Freeze showcased his top tier arm strength with 91 mph infield velocities and 90 mph outfield velocities. To cap off his performance, Freeze sat 88-89 mph on the mound and flashed a 77-79 mph curveball with over 2,600 rpm of spin. Must know player in the Keystone state !

 

 

Dominic Lauletta RHP / OF / Plum, PA / 2028

The Western PA product is a wiry right-handed pitcher that has continued to take huge strides forward this preseason making a name for himself within the ‘28 class. Lauletta stands at a lean 6-foot-1, 184-pounds. On the mound, he showcased a traditional pitch arsenal of fastball, curveball, and changeup. His fastball was typically thrown at 90-91 mph and topped at 91.2 mph, his curveball was 75-76 mph, and his changeup was 76-77 mph. Exciting prospect to follow the spring and summer seasons.

 

 

Jordan Wilson C / RHP / Churchville-Chili, NY / 2027

High-upside 6-1, 185 lb athlete with standout arm strength and versatility across the field (84 MPH from the crouch, 91 MPH INF, 88 MPH on the mound). Shows feel for a complete arsenal, highlighted by a 2380+ RPM SL. Offensively, a balanced, strong lower half supports consistent impact (72–76 MPH bat speed, 100 EV, 92 avg, 377 ft).
Athleticism and toolset point to a dynamic multi-positional profile with continued upside as both a hitter and defender.

 

 

Luca Ferlenda RHP / SS / Jamesville-Dewitt, NY / 2028

6-1, 185 lb athletic two-way prospect with a complete four-pitch arsenal and feel for spin (FB 2350+, CB 2400, CH, CT). Offensively, shows a repeatable operation with a slight barrel tip into a plane-efficient path, producing 97 EV from the right side and 90 EV from the left. Defensively, clean actions and 87 MPH arm strength add value across the diamond.
Athleticism and versatility point to continued growth as both a pitcher and switch-hitting contributor at the next level.

 

 

Jacob Honor LHP / OF / Phillips Academy, MA / 2027

Strong, physical 6-0, 190 lb LHP. Repeats well with a clean operation; FB 86–87 shows carry through the zone. CB (-7” IVB, 11” HM) has depth and shape; CH plays heavy with a 7–10 mph separation.
Frame and lower-half strength point to more velocity and refinement of the mix moving forward.

 

 

Jacob Plodzik OF / 3B / Concord High School, NH / 2029

High-upside 6-0, 180 lb left-handed hitter with strength and fluid athleticism. Offensive profile is built on efficient weight transfer and a strong front side, producing consistent high-end impact (100 EV, 96 avg, 377 ft). Defensively, shows clean actions with 83 MPH arm strength.
Physicality and ease of operation point to a future impact bat with continued growth on both sides of the ball.
