Albuquerque, NM – Spark Kindness Sports Complex – The Albuquerque Summer ID took place on August 23, 2026, and featured players from across New Mexico going through a full pro-style workout. Pitchers threw bullpens with detailed TrackMan metrics collected, including velocity, spin rate, movement profiles and strike-zone rates.

FASTBALL
MAX VELOCITY
Max Fastball Velocity: This metric measures the speed of the pitch as it is released from the pitcher’s hand.
HIGHEST AVG. SPIN RATE
Spin Rate: This metric measures the rate at which the baseball spins as it leaves the pitcher’s hand, expressed in revolutions per minute. Higher-spin fastballs typically resist the effects of gravity and maintain greater carry through the zone. Lower-spin fastballs can produce more horizontal action and are often associated with increased ground-ball contact.
HIGHEST AVG. IVB
Induced Vertical Break: Commonly referred to as IVB, this metric measures the vertical movement a pitch creates compared to a pitch traveling without the effects of spin. On fastballs, higher IVB can produce greater carry through the zone. Velocity and release height should also be considered when comparing IVB measurements.
AVG. HORIZONTAL MOVEMENT
Horizontal Movement: This metric measures how far a pitch moves horizontally, in inches, compared to where it would have crossed home plate if it had traveled in a straight line from its release point.
HIGHEST STRIKE ZONE RATE%
Strike Zone Rate: This metric measures the percentage of pitches that crossed through the strike zone during the bullpen session.
