2026 STL Summer Tournament Standouts

This summer marked the beginning of Prep Baseball Tournaments' presence in the Greater St. Louis area, representing an exciting first step in establishing a premier tournament platform throughout the region. From a scouting and player coverage standpoint, the summer proved to be a success. Throughout the season, we were able to evaluate a talented group of players across multiple events while continuing to expand our coverage and presence in one of the state's strongest baseball communities.

As we look ahead, we are excited to build upon the foundation established this summer. With continued growth in competition, venues, and overall event experience, I believe the future of Prep Baseball Tournaments in the St. Louis area is extremely bright.

The players featured below have earned my recognition for a variety of reasons throughout the summer. Some consistently performed at a high level across multiple Prep Baseball Tournaments, while others delivered memorable individual performances. Additional consideration was given to players' overall standing within the Prep Baseball rankings, as well as their contributions to teams that found continued success in our tournaments in STL. I also placed an emphasis on highlighting talented uncommitted prospects, with the goal of providing additional exposure to players seeking opportunities at the next level.

Collectively, these players made a lasting impact on the inaugural Prep Baseball Tournaments season in Greater St. Louis and are worthy of recognition.

STANDOUTS

Asher Krimmel RHP / Lafayette, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: RAWLINGS TIGERS ICON 16U

No player displayed more pitching dominance in STL than Asher. There are few things left to say about him that haven’t already been said. His dominance was on full display throughout the summer, posting a 1.33 ERA while striking out 25 batters and walking only 11. He earned himself a well-deserving spot on Missouri’s Future Games roster, where he once again showed why he is considered one of the best arms in the state. His dominant outing in Georgia earned recognition on the highly respected “Shooter Hunt’s 75 Impact Arms” list.

Asher pounds the zone, posting a 61.1% strike rate over the summer. His slider may be the best pitch in the state, consistently producing spin rates at and above 3,000 RPM. Asher has a bright future in the sport of baseball, and we were fortunate to have him competing in PBTSTL.

Jaxson Czerniewski 3B / St. Dominic, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: RAWLINGS TIGERS ICON 16U

Jaxson carried over his hot bat from the spring season straight into summer ball. He earned himself a “Tournament Spotlight” on his first weekend of the season. Jaxson carried his success throughout the summer, hitting a team-best .414 with a 1.159 OPS. His performance throughout the summer earned him an invitation to the highly respected Future Games. He showed well for Missouri, posting a 93 MPH INF velo, which ranked seventh best in the nation. Jaxson has proven to be a consistent hitter with attributes and a physique that turn heads. Expect him to continue living up to his high work ethic and developing as he goes into his junior year.

Andrew Zimmermann 1B / RHP / Parkway South, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: RAWLINGS TIGERS ICON 16U

While he may not have been the highest-recruited player coming into the summer, Zimmermann’s play should certainly earn him recognition. He hit consistently throughout the summer. Possessing a physical 6-foot, 215-pound frame, he showcases a repeatable, consistent swing from the right-handed batter’s box. He hit .368 over the summer with a team-best 38 RBI.

He may not light up the radar gun, but Andrew was a very reliable arm for the Tigers. He threw a total of 49 innings with a 1.86 ERA. He often pitches backwards and consistently mixes speeds. With an increase in velocity, Andrew could become a legitimate pitching prospect to go along with his steady bat.

 

 

Brayden Good SS / 2B / Festus, MO / 2027

SUMMER TEAM: RBC 17U NATIONAL

Brayden had a monster summer that ended in the best way possible. He hit .474 with four home runs while adding a team-best 18 doubles and 37 RBI. Brayden wasn't just a middle-of-the-order bat. He also played all over the infield and provided strong defense, primarily at shortstop.

Brayden displayed easy power to all fields. With a tall setup and a pause-style toe tap, he delivers the barrel to the ball with ease and is always an extra-base hit threat. His talents earned him a spot at the Senior Future Games, where he looked the part throughout the event. He turned the heads of quite a few of the 495 coaches in attendance, one of which was Central Michigan University, where Brayden announced his commitment last week.

Brayden's development is far from over. Each time I saw him throughout the summer, he looked a little more like a college ballplayer. He is a very well-rounded player whose bat can produce at the top or in the middle of the lineup. From PBT STL to the Future Games, Brayden has been a very enjoyable player to follow this summer.

 

Tyler Sweeney SS / 2B / Eureka, MO / 2027

SUMMER TEAM: RBC 17U NATIONAL

Standing at a lean 6-foot-3, 165 pounds, Sweeney's projectability was on full display all summer in St. Louis. He posted an insane .495 batting average. His hit tool is just one of many weapons in his arsenal. He runs the bases aggressively at a high level, stealing a team-best 22 bases while being caught only twice. He also played at a high level defensively, never afraid to lay out and get the uniform dirty.

Sweeney's production in the St. Louis area is far from over. He announced his commitment to play baseball at Lindenwood University on July 12th. He will be a fun player to watch in the coming years as he continues to add size and power.

 

Zaiedan Jeanlouis LHP / Mehlville, MO / 2027

SUMMER TEAM: RBC 17U NATIONAL

A crafty lefty who could fly under the radar—until you see the way he attacks hitters. Living in the low-to-mid 80s, Zaiedan's fastball features good arm-side run. He throws it to both sides of the plate and induces plenty of ground balls for RBC's athletic infield. He also attacks hitters with a quality changeup that he throws consistently, along with a slower curveball that provides a different look.

He posted a 6-2 record over 48 innings of work with a 2.75 ERA. His strikeout-to-walk ratio was a respectable 2.05. Zaiedan had a great summer in St. Louis, and his quick-tempo style of attacking hitters should continue to serve him well throughout his development. 

Karson Wiskur 3B / RHP / Smith-Cotton High School, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: 4D TRAIN MARCUM 16U

Few players have impressed in the Midwest with their bat like Karson has this summer. At a physical 5-foot-10, 199 pounds, he has proven to be one of the more feared bats in the state. He gained national attention when he made the National Select Team as an infielder after putting together a 10-hit, four-homer weekend. Karson has shown EVs north of 105 mph, and his bat earned him a ticket to the Future Games, where he represented Team Select. At the event, Wiskur looked the part at the plate, handling high velocity well in gameplay.

Karson has also shown success on the mound. His fastball has been up to 88 mph, and he has thrown some impactful innings this summer for 4D Train. Overall, Karson's dominance on both sides of the ball has really put him on the map this summer, and there should be plenty of attention surrounding him as a result.

 

 

Drew Kindle SS / 2B / Smith-Cotton, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: 4D TRAIN MARCUM 16U

Standing at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, Kindle is a true ballplayer who does a lot of things well. Nothing necessarily jumps off the page, but Kindle consistently finds ways to impact the game. He hit .360 this summer while maintaining a near 2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. At the plate, he utilizes a simple swing with a small step-back load that allows him to stay on time and consistently produce.

Defensively, Kindle shows sure hands and simple actions around the infield. He plays with a steady approach and does not complicate things, allowing his consistency to shine. Kindle's well-rounded game make him a player who can continue to provide value on both sides of the ball.

Jack Sutherland SS / 2B / Logan-Rogersville, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: INEVITABLE A'S NATIONAL 16U

Jack emerged as one of the top left-handed hitting infielders in the state this summer, consistently making an impact throughout Prep Baseball Tournaments and carrying that success into the Future Games. An athletic 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Jack showed a steady ability to find the barrel, spraying the ball into both gaps from the left side. He utilizes a controlled, mid-sized leg kick that creates an explosive move into the baseball while maintaining balance and feel for the barrel. He displays good gap-to-gap power and a mature approach at the plate.

Defensively, Jack has shown the versatility to play all over the infield. He recorded an 87 mph arm across the diamond at the Future Games and consistently showed the ability to handle multiple positions. His performance throughout the summer, capped by an impressive showing at the Future Games, solidified Jack as one of the state's top left-handed hitters.

Memphis Mooneyham OF / Aurora, MO / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: INEVITABLE A'S NATIONAL 16U

Memphis has solidified himself as one of the state's top in-game producers. A true athlete and Gold Glove-caliber defender in center field, he is a player you want wearing your uniform. During the summer, he hit a team-best .451 to go along with a 1.233 OPS. His success on both sides of the ball earned him an invitation to the Future Games, making him one of several players in his class on the A's to receive an invite.

Memphis's play certainly caught the eye of Missouri State, and they wasted no time recruiting him. Memphis announced his commitment on August 1, making him the first player in Missouri off the board in this loaded 2028 class. Overall, his athleticism and five-tool ability make him one of the more exciting players to watch in the class as he heads into his junior year.

Carson Hamilton RHP / Alma, AR / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: INEVITABLE A'S NATIONAL 16U

Standing at a lengthy 6-foot-7, 210 pounds, Carson put more than just his size on the map this summer. He posted a team-best 1.85 ERA through 30 innings of work while racking up 35 strikeouts against just 10 walks. He has the numbers, the size, and the velocity, although that last piece may still be far from fully developed. Which is crazy to say about a guy who already lives in the mid-to-upper 80s.

His arm certainly caught the attention of Prep Baseball Arkansas, which he represented down in Georgia at the Future Games. Carson is an arm that should make a huge jump, with the potential to live in the low 90s. 

Maximus Terbrock LHP / OF / Troy Buchanan, MO / 2027

SUMMER TEAM: JK SELECT SCOUT

Max put himself on the map this summer as one of the state's more overlooked left-handed arms. He racked up an impressive 67 strikeouts, which was more than twice anyone else on his team. He threw a total of 36.2 innings while posting a 3.25 ERA. He has a simple delivery from the left side and hides the ball well, making it difficult on hitters. His low-to-mid 80s fastball really jumps out of the hand. He pairs this with a sweeper-type breaking ball that generates heavy swing-and-miss.

Max also showed success at the plate. He has a relaxed setup with a short swing and low finish. He hit .383 on the summer with three home runs. Max's play in our tournaments this summer has allowed him the opportunity to showcase his abilities as both an arm and a bat in the 2027 class.

His performance on the mound in PBT STL provided him an opportunity to compete in the Central Super Senior Games for Team Missouri, where he threw three solid innings of one-hit baseball and solidified himself as an uncommitted arm deserving of attention. Just five days after the event, Max announced his commitment to John Wood Community College, showcasing the impact his performance had on his recruitment.

 

Caden Burnett RHP / Sylvan Hills, AR / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: ARKANSAS PROSPECTS TEAM 26

Caden emerged early in the summer at a St. Louis Prep Baseball Tournament, where he was relatively new to the Prep Baseball scene. However, that is certainly no longer the case. Caden has shown incredible upside at every turn. His outing early in the summer earned him a “Tournament Spotlight,” where he showcased an effortless fastball up to 89 mph. Word made its way back to Arkansas, and Caden earned an invitation to represent the state at the Future Games, where he ran the fastball up to 92 mph.

Caden is just getting started. I expect the 6-foot-3, 220-pound right-hander to continue developing and gaining attention as he climbs the rankings.

Nicholas Chiarodo SS / RHP / Edwardsville, IL / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: GBA HOVEY 16U

Nick needed little help gaining attention this summer. The highly ranked two-way player out of Illinois tore up tournament play when we saw him in STL, dominating on both sides of the ball. He is an extremely athletic player with tools that jump off the page.

On the mound, he lives in the upper 80s and throws four pitches for strikes. He topped out at 90 mph while representing Illinois at the Future Games. He also posted a 6.60 60-yard dash, along with a very good workout defensively (86 mph INF velo) and offensively (98 mph EV).

While Nick's tools certainly jump out, they also translated into very reliable tournament play. He consistently performed deep into GBA's tournament runs, helping them win a couple of our events. Nick will continue to add size and climb the national rankings, making him a player to watch closely.

 

Landon Maisenbacher SS / 2B / Pleasant Plains, IL / 2028

SUMMER TEAM: GBA HOVEY 16U

Landon started the summer swinging a hot bat. He went 14-for-20 in his first Prep Baseball STL tournament, helping lead GBA to a tournament championship. His success earned him a “Tournament Spotlight” as well as a spot on the PBT National Select Team.

Landon is a very consistent hitter. He has good rhythm in his swing and works well with his hands, allowing him to consistently stay on time. He is also an elite defender who can play all over the infield. Landon is going to be a great pickup for whichever school lands him.
