STATE RANKINGS RISERS (2027 CLASS)

Coleton Donaldson RHP / Sam Houston, LA / 2027From 07/29/26: "Donaldson entered last week with as much buzz as any arm on Louisiana's Senior Future Games staff, and he more than lived up to the expectations. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-hander drew the Game 2 start against the Plains and was dominant, firing two no-hit innings while striking out four and issuing no walks. Even more impressive, he needed just 20 pitches to navigate his outing. The right-hander attacked hitters with confidence, commanding an 86-89 mph fastball to both sides of the plate while consistently working ahead in the count. His feel for spin was the separator, however, as both his 81-83 mph cutter and 77-79 mph slider showed tight, late action with spin rates in the 2,500-2,700 rpm range, giving him two legitimate swing-and-miss secondary offerings. One of the youngest players in Louisiana's 2027 class, Donaldson possesses tremendous long-term upside, and his performance at LakePoint only reinforced why he's considered one of the state's top uncommitted pitching prospects."

Shepherd Gammon 3B / OF / University Lab , LA / 2027From 06/21/26: "Shepherd Gammon was one of the most toolsy performers in attendance and put his athleticism on full display throughout the day. The wiry 6-foot-2, 170-pound University Lab product showed an exciting blend of speed and power, turning in an event-best 6.51-second 60-yard dash while also posting the top exit velocity of the event at 104.4 mph. Gammon was consistently on the barrel during batting practice, averaging an impressive 97.6 mph off the bat and flashing the offensive upside that continues to draw attention from scouts. With plenty of room remaining to add strength to his frame, the uncommitted senior's stock continues to trend upward as one of Louisiana's more intriguing prospects in the 2027 class."

Landen Derouen SS / RHP / Erath, LA / 2027From 06/21/26: "Landen Derouen continued to prove why he's one of the state's most productive hitters at the Louisiana Top Prospect Games. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Erath standout was one of the biggest offensive winners of the day, showcasing present strength and bat speed while consistently finding the barrel. Derouen carried a strong batting practice round into game action, collecting three hits, including a ringing double off the left-center field wall, while also demonstrating a disciplined approach and quality strike-zone awareness. After a monster junior campaign in which he hit .510 with 27 extra-base hits, the uncommitted senior continues to show that his offensive production is no fluke—hitters hit."

Brooklyn Gremillion RHP / SS / Dunham, LA / 2027From 06/21/26: "Brooklyn Gremillion showcased an intriguing mix of present stuff and long-term upside during his outing at the Louisiana Top Prospect Games. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Dunham right-hander is a smooth, athletic mover with a loose, easy arm action that allows the ball to come out cleanly. His fastball worked in the 85-89 mph range and played well thanks to its carry through the zone, highlighted by nearly 20 inches of induced vertical break. Gremillion's changeup and splitter currently stand out as his most effective secondary offerings, both showing promising deception and movement, while his breaking ball continues to develop. With his projectable frame, athleticism, and clean operation, the uncommitted senior offers plenty of upside and appears poised for continued growth."
