UT Class of 2027: Post-Summer Rankings Update

The summer has come to a close and the fall is getting ready to ramp up. We had a busy summer with covering tournaments at around the state, the Four Corners ProCase to Summer ID's and Top Prospect Games. This class continues to develop with new prospects emerging and players starting to find their 4 year home, including 17 already committed to Division I programs. With a full summer schedule now complete, the Utah 2027 rankings have received an update as the class heads into its final fall before the high school season.

As always, the evaluation process is a fluid and ongoing process with multiple viewings in order to get the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that as players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace. That doesn’t indicate that other players got worse or went backwards, it’s just how player development works. As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the Preo Baseball rankings universe. In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and then make adjustments based on what we've each seen.
The latest rankings account for those in-person evaluations, recent performance, physical development and measurable gains. Below, we take a closer look at the Top 10 prospects in Utah's 2027 class, followed by the next 20 players in the updated rankings.
The top of Utah's 2027 class continues to take shape following a busy summer. The group features a strong collection of arms at the top of the state, along with several position players who continue to establish themselves heading into their senior seasons.
The depth of the class extends well beyond the Top 10. Below is a look at prospects ranked No. 11 through No. 30 in the updated Utah 2027 rankings.
