Arizona State Games: Workout Warriors

RJ Elmore
Mountain West Operations Director

The 2026 Arizona State Games brought nearly 170 prospects to Arizona Athletic Grounds for three days of workouts and gameplay.

Friday's pro-style workout gave our staff a full look at the position-player group, with TrackMan hitting data, VALD athletic testing, Blast Motion and defensive evaluations collected before gameplay began on Saturday.

With the data in, we take a look at some of the players who put up the top all-around workout performances at the State Games.

Below are the Top 15 Overall Workout Warriors from Friday's workout, followed by 10 additional standouts from each graduating class. The group includes some of the event's best combinations of offensive impact, athleticism and defensive tools, with gameplay video included for select players.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR HERE

The Workout Warriors are built around more than one number. Offensive production carries plenty of weight, but frame, athleticism, arm strength, defensive value and overall performance all factor into how a player stood out within his position during Friday’s workout.

The data provides the measurable side of the evaluation, while our staff’s notes add context to the tools, actions and overall profiles that stood out throughout the workout.

The Top 15 overall performers can be found below, along with 10 additional standouts from each class.

In game notes, scouting reports, and tons more post event coverage still on the way!
