2026 Prep Baseball Kansas POWER 25 - WEEK 3

A new week brings a fresh face to the top of our rankings, along with minor shuffling and two new programs entering the mix.

Following Lawrence Free State's loss to Rogers (AR) last Friday, Mill Valley takes over the No. 1 spot. The Jaguars were dominant during a 4-0 week, improving to a perfect 9-0 on the young season. They will face test in the coming days with two ranked matchups on the docket against Olathe Northwest and Shawnee Mission South. Olathe East slides up to No. 2, while Free State falls back to No. 3, with St. Thomas Aquinas and Blue Valley rounding out the top five.

Blue Valley Southwest jumps two spots this week after a dominant doubleheader sweep over Derby to improve to 4-1, while Olathe South makes its debut in the top 10. Conversely, Shawnee Mission South falls out of the top 10 to No. 14 following two tough losses to Gardner-Edgerton and Olathe West. Bishop Carroll and Washburn Rural also take minor slides in this update.

Salina Central leads the newcomers this week, sporting a perfect 6-0 record highlighted by a doubleheader sweep over Wichita Northwest last Friday. Trinity Academy also makes its debut at No. 25. The Knights appear to be leading the charge in 3A and recently captured the CPL Classic Championship, bringing their season record to 7-1.
