NJ Rankings Update: Class of 2029

We recently wrapped up another loaded preseason showcase circuit across the Garden State, and the Class of 2029 made a strong early statement. With players representing every corner of New Jersey, the competition level was impressive from start to finish, giving our staff a deep look at a group that’s already showing signs of becoming one of the more intriguing young classes in recent memory. Though still early in their development, this class features a promising blend of athleticism, projection, and baseball IQ that continues to elevate New Jersey's reputation as a talent‑rich state.

As with any rankings release, movement is expected, and this group delivered plenty of it. While Walker Snee held steady at the number 1 spot, the movement around him was plentiful. Several prospects made notable climbs after standout showings during the winter, flashing tools and upside that demanded attention. A number of new faces also entered the rankings for the first time as we expanded our list to 50 players.

This 2029 class is filled with young athletes who are beginning to separate themselves, and as they head into their first year of high school baseball, the expectation is that the depth and competitiveness of this class will only continue to rise. As we expand the list to 50 ranked prospects, these rankings will continue to evolve throughout the calendar year as more opportunities to evaluate arise.
