NOTABLE RECAPS FROM WEDNESDAY

#11 Dixie (13) vs. #3 Snow Canyon (11)

The Dixie Flyers outlasted the Snow Canyon Warriors in a high-octane 13–11 extra-inning thriller that saw both teams combine for 24 runs and five home runs. In a game that felt like a heavyweight bout, Dixie’s Carson Hunt proved to be the ultimate dual-threat weapon, launching a crucial home run and driving in three before taking the mound in the final frames to secure the win. Weston Gilmore was nearly perfect for the Flyers, racking up three hits and three RBIs, while Triston Munson provided the heavy lifting in the middle of the order with four RBIs. Snow Canyon countered with a relentless power display of their own, led by Kade Kelsch and Logan Ross, who both left the yard, and a multi-hit effort from Braden Mugavero. Despite the Warriors' late-inning heroics to force the eighth, Dixie’s disciplined approach—drawing eight walks and four hit-by-pitches—allowed them to manufacture the decisive runs in the final frame to escape with the victory.

Top Performers

#2 Lone Peak (9) vs. #9 Corner Canyon (3)

The Lone Peak Knights showcased a balanced attack of patient hitting and lockdown relief pitching to secure a 9–3 victory over Corner Canyon. Leading the charge was Boston Walkenhorst, who turned in a stellar dual-threat performance, racking up three hits at the plate before tossing two scoreless innings to close out the game. The Knights' offense was further bolstered by Bo Barnes, who drove in a game-high three runs, and Dallin Scharmann, who was a constant nuisance on the basepaths with two walks and two stolen bases. While Corner Canyon’s Jack Munson provided a spark with a three-hit afternoon, the Chargers struggled with command from the mound, issuing eight total walks throughout the contest. After an early back-and-forth, Lone Peak’s bullpen took full control; Seth Bull earned the win with 2.2 innings of scoreless work, combining with Walkenhorst’s clean finish to silence the Corner Canyon bats over the final four frames to remain undefeated (12-0).

Top Performers

#13 Riverton (7) vs. Herriman (6)

The Riverton Silverwolves outlasted the Herriman Mustangs in a high-intensity 7–6 extra-inning thriller, showing remarkable poise to snatch a road victory. The Silverwolves’ offense was ignited early by a solo blast from McKade Ortiz, and they continued to manufacture runs through the middle frames thanks to multi-hit efforts from Bryce Mounteer and Cohen Allred. Titan Mozingo delivered the game's most clutch swing, coming off the bench to drive in two critical runs. Herriman remained a threat throughout the afternoon, out-hitting Riverton 12–10. Logan Gregory was nearly unstoppable, turning in a perfect 4-for-4 performance with two doubles, while Hunter Miller provided the late-inning muscle with two RBIs. Despite the offensive pressure, the Mustangs were plagued by three defensive errors that proved costly. On the mound, Riverton's Boston Hatch earned the win with two gritty innings of relief, navigating a tense eighth inning to silence the Mustangs' final rally and secure the signature win.

Top Performers

Pine View (5) vs. #6 Desert Hills (2)

The Pine View Panthers rode a gutty complete-game performance from Tristen Sylvester and a timely power surge to secure a focused 5–2 victory over the Desert Hills Thunder. While the Thunder pitching staff made Pine View work for every out—racking up 11 total strikeouts—the Panthers made their hits count. The decisive blow came via Porter Campbell, who launched a three-run home run to provide the necessary cushion. Parker Heath added to the tally with a clutch double that drove in two, ensuring Sylvester had all the support he needed. Desert Hills kept the pressure on early behind a dominant start from Hoyt Atkin, who fanned nine batters in just over four innings. Offensively, Harmon Skeen provided the Thunder's entire scoring output with a towering two-run blast, but they struggled to string together hits against Sylvester’s command. Sylvester finished the afternoon having allowed only four hits over seven focused frames, sealing a signature win for the Panthers on the road.
