Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#5 Sherwood Warriors 

The Warriors are looking for their 5th state title in 6 years, and the roster makeup in 2026 is as strong as ever. Coach Davis always gets the most out of his players, and look for no difference this spring, as the senior leadership on both sides of the ball should propel this Warriors team deep into the playoffs once again. A nice balance of pitching depth, defensive consistency and production 1-9 in the lineup are certainly things to watch for in 2026, and if all hold true, look for the Sherwood Warriors to hoist the state title once again this spring.
