It is officially that time again, and after a busy preseason across the Old Line State and Delaware, our staff updates the MD/DE Class of 2026 Rankings. This update won't be as extensive as the other classes; however, we do see some movement inside the top ten and throughout the full top 200.

Leo Antwerpen LHP / 1B / McDonogh School, MD / 2026Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
The stage is set for the top southpaw in the MD 2026 class this spring, as Antwerpen and the McDonogh Eagles look to make some noise in the MIAA “A” Conference this spring. An early look this winter at Antwerpen has proved that this spring may just be his best yet. Easy carry to an upper 80s fastball in a February ‘pen should transition nicely to a heater that could reach into the low 90s this spring. The cutter/curveball mix continues to tick up, and the possession of arguably the state’s best changeup should have Antwerpen in the driver’s seat of competing for this year’s MD Pitcher of the Year award.

Dylan Anderson OF / A+ Baseball Academy , MD / 2026Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 5
The free-swinging, highly athletic left-handed hitting outfielder jumps inside the Top 20 of this update following a few really nice looks this preseason. The body has added evident physicality since last look and the swing is more powerful than ever. Strong wrists, quick bat speed with improved bat-to-ball had our staff overly impressed this winter. A player that looks to turn some heads this spring with A+ Baseball Academy and should make the transition into the collegiate level fairly smoothly. |

Jute Taylor SS / OF / Gilman School, MD / 2026Rankings StateRank: 43 / POS: 6
A player our staff has had our eyes on his entire high school career, the UMBC commit had a really nice showing at this year’s Delaware Preseason All-State and looks to carry that over into a highly competitive MIAA “A” Conference senior season. It’s a line drive, gap-to-gap approach at the dish with a highly athletic offensive makeup that allows game-changing ability at any given moment. Possessing a high contact rate, this is a steady, top-of-the-order bat at the next level that should build some momentum for himself throughout the 2026 spring.
