Central Texas Preseason ID: Pitcher Analysis
April 7, 2026
On Sunday, January 11th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, to host the Central Texas Preseason ID, an open event for all high school classes.
More than 45 players made their way to Texas State and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.
We've already posted a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting more of the traditional statistical categories, as well as a Quick Hits, highlighting some of the events top performers, while also posting Data Dives for both Pitchers and Position Players.
Today, we conclude our post-event rollout by taking a look at the scouting reports on every pitcher in attendance from the event.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Lean, projectable frame with sloping shoulders and room to continue adding strength. Moves well with an athletic build and good physical upside. At the plate, hits from an open stance with a toe tap load, working back to even. Lower half gets into a balanced launch with a firm front side. Hands show quickness and strength with the ability to work into the zone. Continued development in keeping the back elbow from getting too far behind the body will help improve barrel path and consistency. Power projects well within the swing and should continue to develop as adjustments are made. Defensively, shows quick feet with solid glove actions. Can continue to improve by playing through the ball with more intent and working to catch the ball more consistently out front. Arm is a strong tool with present strength and carry, with continued development in controlling the upper half helping improve accuracy. On the mound, works from a side rock step into a controlled delivery with an inward turn. Moves down the slope with feel, with continued development in front side direction helping command and consistency. Arm action is compact from a high three quarter slot with developing hand speed. Fastball shows spin with developing life. Breaking ball shows promise with shape and spin, while the changeup shows feel with consistent arm speed. Overall, athletic two way profile with a strong arm and developing offensive skill set, offering solid upside as strength and consistency continue to improve.
