Each week, we highlight the premier performers from the all levels. Nominations are reviewed with a focus on statistical dominance and strength of schedule, particularly in high-stakes region play.

Cameron Davidson SS / Willow Canyon, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 13
Cameron earns Hitter of the Week honors for the second time this season after putting together one of the most complete offensive weeks we’ve seen all year. The uncommitted shortstop went 8-for-11 (.727) across three games, collecting two home runs and a double while driving in five and scoring eight times. He also added three stolen bases and consistently found ways to impact the game in every phase. Cameron’s ability to combine elite contact rates with power and speed continues to stand out, showing a well rounded offensive profile that translates at a high level. The consistency at the plate, paired with his ability to create runs and pressure defenses, makes him one of the more dynamic bats in the state. Still uncommitted, Cameron is continuing to build a strong case as a next level follow with his production and all around skill set.

Hitter of the Week: Runner Ups
Frank Gearhart 1B / Queen Creek, AZ / 2026Frank turned in one of the most impactful offensive weeks in the state, going 5-for-10 with two home runs and two doubles while driving in 10 runs and scoring five times. The Cal State Northridge commit, consistently came through in run producing situations, including multiple big swings in key moments. The power and ability to drive in runs stood out all week making a close contendor to earn Hitter of the Week honors for the second time as well. |
Gavin Hamilton OF / Hamilton, AZ / 2027Gavin continued his strong stretch at the plate, going 7-for-9 on the week while adding a home run, four RBIs, and three runs scored. The uncommitted Junior also worked three walks, showing a strong approach and ability to stay patient and control at bats. The combination of hit tool and on base presence made him one of the hottest bats in the state last week. |
Ezekiel Zion OF / Campo Verde, AZ / 2026Zion delivered another highly efficient week at the plate, going 6-for-8 with a home run, four RBIs, and three runs scored while adding a stolen base and a walk. The South Mountain CC commit and defending 5A East Sky Offesive Player of the year continues to show a polished offensive approach with consistent contact and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. |

Soren Etheridge RHP / 3B / Phoenix Country, AZ / 2027Soren headlines Week 6 after a dominant outing on the mound, striking out 17 over 6.2 innings while allowing just three hits and one unearned run. The Wake Forest commit showed complete control of the game from start to finish, consistently missing bats and limiting traffic with just two walks. The outing not only stands as one of the most dominant performances of the week across the state, but also pushed Soren into the record books, now holding the Phoenix Country Day career strikeout record with 271. The combination of swing and miss ability, command, and poise continues to separate him as one of the top arms in Arizona’s 2027 class.

Pitcher of the Week: Runner Ups
Devin Long RHP / Chaparral, AZ / 2026Devin continues to anchor the Chaparral staff with another dominant performance, going seven innings while allowing just two hits and one unearned run, striking out 11. The Ole Miss commit improves to 6-0 on the season, backed by a 0.58 ERA and 0.67 WHIP, consistently showing the ability to control the game and miss bats at a high rate. |
Mikey Stortz RHP / Millennium, AZ / 2028Mikey turned in one of the more impressive outings of the week from a young arm, tossing a complete game shutout over seven innings against Brophy Prep. Limiting a top program in the state to just three hits while working around two walks, the 2028 right hander continues to trend upward and prove he can compete against high level competition early in his high school career. |
Carson Lockman RHP / Lake Havasu, AZ / 2026Carson delivered a clean and efficient complete game, going seven innings while allowing just three hits and one unearned run without issuing a walk. The Carson-Newman commit attacked the zone throughout, showing strong command and the ability to manage contact while keeping opposing hitters off balance. |
