2026 Iowa High School Team Preview: Kee High

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout Iowa. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Iowa.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Carroll or Cedar Rapids at the IHSAA 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Tournaments, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Iowa.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“We lost 4 really nice pieces of the puzzle from last year but also bring back key components that are now another year older. I feel like our defense should be once again Kee Strong! Our offense has the potential to be better than 2025 but our pitching will be the biggest question mark. We lost our 2 dudes from last year but we do have guys that are capable of pitching big games for us. We will be challenged with a 39 game schedule against some great competition so if we find a way to compete consistently on the mound we should be a tough team to handle in 1A. ” – Jim Mauss, head coach
